Considering getting one of these for home as it's really the only item I use at the gym to any extent (not really a weights gym poseur)

Only trouble is that the only place I could put it would be upstairs in the spare room on carpet covered floor boards. I live in a semi, and whilst the spare does not touch next door, I am worried that I might just end up subjecting my neighbours to an intolerable racket everyday.

Anyone faced similar problems and over come them? Downstairs and garage ain't an option.

Finally, anyone recommend a good cross trainer for that kind of budget too.

Shameless bump.

Had an idea about the noise. Thought about laying a layer of rubber, then a sheet of 19mm MDF over the floorboard area where it would sit. This ought to help out with the noise shirley?

Comments? Hello? wink

Hello!

We just bought a one from Argos, only about £100 quid and seems to do the job. Variable resistance, heart rate monitor and electronic distance, rpm display etc.

Am also thinking about placing a sheet of ply below it, as it has a tendancy to rock when being used.
