... some lightweight, hard wearing, waterproof walking attire. Please!

I'm doing the trailwalker 2008, and knowing the British Summer, I'm going to need them!

Cheers

I've got shower-proof trousers by Rohan, but I'm thinking I'll be needing a proper jacket and trousers combo. Especially if it's raining in the night as well. I'll have a gander - cheers!

With regard the jacket, the berghaus is very lightweight but very comfortable, waterproof and durable. I paid about £100 for mine.

Shorts.

T-shirt.

Scarpas.

Gaiters.

Red socks. Only real walkers wear red socks.

With respect to a jacket, lightweight and breathable, may sound odd but Nike do some good ones, and certainly the one I have is better than the berghaus or karimoor one's I've had in the past.

Otherwise North Face triclimate, but it's a bit pricey for a one off, but if you do more walking then ideal.

Ver useful suggestions, thus far, many thanks.

What are peoples thoughts on running suits - waterproof ones?

The kit thus far:
Berghaus and Nike ACG boots (have already, taken me through Nepal).
Brasher socks (ditto).
Rohan 3-way trousers (and again).
Camelbak.

And another thought - if people will be generally looking to buy a suit for walking, why not offer it to them on the websites, rather than two seperate options? Wierd!

Never used a walking suit. Very happy with me craghoppers and Berghaus Jacket and Raichle boots.

Love walking me.
