Demanding board and fans. I thought it would have changed after Ashley took over though.

They think they are a "big" club but they aren't 'cos they are rubbish a bit like Tottenham.

The fans think they should play beautiful football and win stuff, unfortunately a manager gets about 3 defeats before he is "under pressure".

The two most successful clubs in the Premiership are Man U and Arsenal who have kept with the same managers for atleast 10 years!

Newcastle fans need to realise that the players they have are mainly rubbish and that they need to expect a manager to take about 3 years to get a team together which is his and not a bunch of crap the previous managers have left him with.

If it were me I would keep Given, Stephen Taylor, NZogbia, Martins, Owen and Duff, pretty much the rest of the squad could go.

I think once Ashley & Mort have appointed someone of their choosing, then the manager might get a decent time to sort things out. Allardyce was appointed by Shepherd though, and I think thats made a difference.

Although Newcastle desperately need some stability instead of changing managers every 10 minutes, Big Sam was failing. Recent results had been very poor with a few wins or performances papering over the cracks. He's a good manager, and I reckon will go onto another club and perform really well.

I hope they choose the right man this time! I just can't see the top managers being interested though. And Shearer would definitely be jumping in at the deep end if he's even thinking of cutting his managerial teeth at St James.

If pearcey wasn't with the England under 21's I would say him.

Apparently newcastle have already asked their wanted manager and he is of British origin.

We are a big club with regard to fan base, stadium, turn-over and potential, we just haven't got the big team, what else makes a big club then????

We have 52,000 supporters in the ground every home game and are in the top 3 best supported away teams in the country.

Allardyce's tactics were to contain the opposition and pray for a lucky goal. Derby who are well adrift at the bottom of the table and only have 7 points have been handed 4 of those points by Newcastle. During the 0:1 away defeat to Wigan 2 weeks ago we didn't have one shot at goal!!!

With regard to the players that you mention, Taylor is well overated, Martin's is lazy with very poor technical ability at times, Owen has lost his pace and Duff has shown very few signs of repeating his Chelsea form. N'Zogbia is one of our best players but he certainly isn't a left back and should not have been played in that position by Allardyce. Allardyce spent £6.3m on a left back, namely Jose Enrique so why isn't he playing at left back.

Ps,

Allardyce had to go because his tactics were so negative, the team were dreadful to watch and there weren't any signs at all of any light at the end of the tunnel. He was aways going to be on his way after the rumours of player unrest surfaced.

Very very true I've watched the last few matches and ended up doing something else, with the exception of the stoke game.

A stupid decision as newcastle are stiil two points ahead of spurs - don't see their manager being sacked?

Appointed by shepherd, played a style that the fans dont like, technically inept, boring and negative football. Wasnt really wanted in the first place by the new regime IMO, and hasn't lived up to expectations. The fans didnt expect miracles, just for them not to be complete shit, which they have been. People say "but they are 11th". Yes, but they have been lucky to pick up as many points as they have IMO, they are among the worst performing teams in the league.

I was all for Big Sam when he was appointed originally. However, I now admit that he was the wrong man for the job. The timing is surprising though, very bad timing if they havent got someone lined up, which I think they have.

I think it may well be Shearer. I pray to god it isnt Steve McLaren.

Their manager was sacked this season, in case it escaped your notice.

Spurs are playing much better football than us at the moment.

And Chelsea were top of the league and their manager was sacked.

What tottenham or anyother team does hasn't got anything to do with the price of fish.

Chelsea manager was sacked because he kept picking fights with the bloke who pays his monster wages.
Newcastle's postion in league is dependant on others -the spurs reference puts things in perspective.

But that was only because you were thanking Taylor for seemingly trying to break half the bones in hs body just to keep us in the game! Agree whole heartedly with your comments though - they're now boring to watch.

Out of Sam's signings, Beye is worth keeping. Smith gives it everything, even when constantly played out of position. Enrique has not impressed. Barton can go to jail. Roz & Capaca where both proven winners at the old clubs, and appeared solid to start with but both have crumbled recently - I don't think either are the next Boumsong so give another chance. Think that only leaves Faye, who I'd keep but I'd see as backup for Butt or the central defenders.

Add to that... if its McLaren announced, they'll be getting an awful lot of season tickets arriving for refund!
