Since his Spanish sidekick left, Liverpool have been struggling and were woeful today v Luton, who deserved to win. Too many mediocre players, and without Gerrard and Torres we'd be below Newcastle!
But as he upset the Yanks will Rafa get any more money? Another sorry season in the premiership. Get shut of Hyppia, Rise, Finnan, Voronin and that useless t**t Kuyt.

Here here! I went on Wednesday to watch the pathetic excuse for football against Wigan.
Wigan deserved to win as did Luton today. We are skating on thin ice.
Add Sissoko to that list too!

PLayers are good enough IMO (especialy for todays game!! - 10 inetrnationals!!!).

Luck and tactics have been against us, after the best start in the EPL for ages we've fluffed it due to tactics (and some bad luck).

Points lost to much poorer teams and no points gained against our 'top competitors'.

IMO Rafa doesnt and isnt learning the English game.

I think Liverpool are looking decidedly average at the moment. Rafa's aura is filtering through to the team, they look demotivated and lacking passion.

I watched the Luton game yesterday as I thought it might provide a cup upset - but I thought it would be more a fluke goal that won it instead of Luton being the better side on the day and ending in a draw.

The stupid thing is, I can see you lot doing well in Europe.

Can't get my head round it.

Totally agree with op, just don't know what is wrong at the moment? they are all over the place, and need to think about overhauling the squad. Out with Kewell, Kuyt, Voronin, sissoko (please god), Rise, Finnan, Hyppia, Pennant,

And spend some money on decent players that we actually need, no more midfielders we need left winger, right winger and a decent striker to go with Torres and Crouch the core is there but stop tinkering Rafa stick with 4-4-2 and best squad available to you and we will be alright!!

I disagree with getting rid of Kewell and Finnan.

Agree with pretty much everything else though. Rafa has assembled a great team but we should be getting better results. If Rafa went, so would the spine of our team - Pepe, Xabi and the new God that is Torres. Scary thoughts.

Rafa should stay and the yanks should come out ans support him. Moores must regret not taking DCI's bid as the yanks have lied about money and the stadium and want shut of Rafa there the ones that We really need to get rid of.

I think winning the league is out of the question now, time to get rid of the rot - Kuyt and Sissoko need to be sold off while there's some interest for the talentless gimps.

How about a cheeky bid for T Henry from barca as they dont play him very often. Should get him for around 15m but its wether he would ever play for another pl side.

A cheeky bid for Henry? You'd be better off persuading Rocket Ronnie out of retirement. wink

Henry will deffo be doing a Fowler and having a final flirt with us, he's said too much in the past for it not to happen. I've seen his eyes linger up at the Kop waiting for a corner to be taken a few times.

Good news today - looks like Momo is off to Juventus for a tidy £10m! Will give us the funds to secure the Masher, which is very good news indeed!

He's magic, you knooooooooow you'll never get past Sissoko Javier Mascherano

I loved Momo with all my heart, but despite being promising it never really 'happened' did it ? £10 Million is daft money so fair play. I feel for Rafa, Momo was one of his golden boys. Times change and Lucas is his boy now.

Viva the Rafalution !

holds breath to see what happens now that Klinsmann has gone back home

Yeah i liked Momo and loved singing his name at match's but he has slipped down the order at the club. He was awesome against barca but he is seriously short of confidence. hope that rafa gets the time and backing that he needs to make us great again. We are not far away from it just 2/3 players and we will be there, really glad jurgen has opted for Munich.

Momo's performance against Chelsea in the cup was awsome, shame he's gone downhill, dunno if its the training, his attitude or his injuries. Looked a future star, now looks a liability.

£10mil is more than plenty for him to leave , that + Carson = Masherano thanks.

Rafa still impresses me with his ability to cut his losses on players, Something Houlier never seemed to manage.

They can have Crouch (let's face it, Rafa doesn't like him) and Kuyt away for me too while we're at it, and they're still worth a few ££, David Villa anyone ? (I have a sneaking suspicion he won't come to England though)

I keep hearing noises about Cisse coming back to England too, has to be Bolton wouldn't you think ?

i will always have a soft spot for momo.

i'd never heard of him when he came to us.

when i first saw him i thought he was a midfield version of traore!

how wrong i was!

there was a time when he was our most effective midfielder at disrupting the opposition. he would run non stop for 90 minutes, allowing gerrard/alonso to do their stuff. he was immense against barcelona, amongst other games.

also, he was nearly blinded playing for us. dont forget that!

ok, he's not flavour of the month anymore but even as he leaves us, his transfer fee will help us buy mascherano!

so all in all, i will have fond memories of him & wish him the best at his new club.

£10m for Sissoko is great business.

I disagree with selling Kuyt. I'd give him another year. I wouldn't sell Carson either.

Hyppia is obviously beyond his peak (selling him for £3m would also be good business, that's all he cost IIRC - next year would be too late), Skrtel (sp) should be better cover for Agger giving us 3 good centre backs along with Carragher.

Rafa MUST sign Mascherano - he's a brilliant player. I too am of the school of thought that we're maybe 1 or 2 players and a tactical rethink short of being contenders. Rotating the squad early in the season (IIRC Pompey and Birmingham) lost the early momentum. We don't seem to have recovered and home form has been patchy.
