Don't forget UFC 79 is on tonight.

Shown on Bravo tomorrow evening.

So before the fights get started, heres my predictions

Matt Hughes Vs. Georges St-Pierre - Matt Hughes
Chuck Liddell Vs. Wanderlei Silva - Chuck
Lyoto Machida Vs. Rameau Sokoudjou - Sokoudjou
Rich Clementi Vs. Melvin Guillard - Guillard
Soa Palelei Vs. Eddie Sanchez - Sanchez

Everybody made weight, Lots of hostility between Liddell / Silva, I think Chuck is winning the mind games.

Tim.

Great to see GSP win, think he might beat Serra in his current form. Also glad Chuck won. I was reading the reports on UFC.com this morning and looks like it was a war between them with some big exchanges.

Can't wait until tonight!

Just hopes Penn wins now.

All the best.

Have any Pride fighters in recent history done well in their debut UFC fights? Everytime I watch UFC they seem to hype up a Pride fighter who has signed up for UFC and then they always seems to lose.

GSP was awesome there, the leg sweep hip throw to side control was brilliant! Chuck looked good too, spinning back fist biggrin
Rampage has won his 2 ufc fights and is the lhw title holder after coming from Pride.

I have to say it wasn't the best UFC event i have seen but the chuck and wanderlai fight was great. Matt Hughes was very humble in defeat and i'd be suprised to see him return but time will tell.

I can't believe Bravo didn't show the last fight.

That was on the undercard not the main card. on the UFC site it says 'may not be broadcast' They will broadcast the undercard fight which will fit into the timeslot the have available - 3 5 minute rounds left by GSP & Matt Hughes

The main event is always the last fight of the night.

Unless you download the PPV american version which shows extra fight/s after the main card.

I don't have sky and usually download it the morning after the actual event. This time i watched it with friends on Bravo and had to endure adverts and less of a show.

Thats true. When getting it on PPV or sentanta then again you have no adverts. I watched the American broadcast for the 1st time for this UFC. although the same show, had a slightly better 'feel' about it..

However the fights they show are always done before the full broadcast starts.

Two weeks to go till UFC 80!!

Tim.

Looks like GSP is improving a learning a lot. And the Axe murderer is starting to see his age and retirement...
