Abusing Footballers and Managers from the stands.
Discussion
I see Sol Campbell has spoken out about abuse he's received from the stands just a couple of weeks after Harry did the same.
Now....
this isn't racial abuse, which I personally find absolutely sickening, but some other abuse.
Firstly, does anyone know exactly what it was that Sol's getting so upset about, and
Second, should he just get on with the game and stop whining?
Third, if, like Ashley Cole apparently did, he was to flash the fingers to the crowd...is that a bad thing and should he be clobered by the FA or Police for it.....?

Was that actually what offended him???
If so, I find the whole rant extrordinary....
It occurs to me that if players expect crowds to 'get behind them' and you do see players 'asking' the crowd to get involved, then they shouldn't be surprised if crowds do their best to unsettle players too.
I personally think it's all part of the fun that is live football, and experience that's in a different league (!) from sitting and watching it on the telly.

yes, the banter is part and parcel of the game and what makes it all the more interestingsome of the chants are hilarious and very cutting
I'd happily get paid £40k/wk to be verbally abused for 2 hours a week whilst playing football

Shame, my heart bleeds
Shame, my heart bleeds
I've heard some awful stuff at matches.
The worst thing I heard was Safri (ex of Norwich) being called a 'ing jew terrorist bastard, wheres your bomb?'
I've even heard a woman scream "die you ing bastard" about 6 foot away from the opposition.
I'm all for a bit of chanting, but I was embarrassed on these occasions.
