Cant believe it, again and again no matter what you do they always bloomin well win, could it really be as simple as them being better than us?
(Ill probably get assassinated for that statement) only i cant seem to find another reason, although playing Kuyt and Kewell might not have helped today.

Gutted today - really gutted. Utd are obviously a class apart, thats why they are champions and are likely to be the same again this season.

We need more world class players of the ilk of torres for the top 4 of the team - utd have gigg, rooney and ronaldo where as we have torres only.

Our record against the top 4 is awful.

Houllier always had the midas touch against Utd, and fergie seems to have it over benitez.

Echo the post above about losing to dross.

We just need to buy more world class players !

That's spot on. Refreshing to hear a scouser talking sense.

United have got class in abundance and as you say, the only big names you seem to have are Torres and Gerrard, who I think is moody anyway and can't get motivated in a sensible way when the chips are down.

You're still missing something in my opinion. Its possibly a confidence thing when up against big teams that have all won the title a few times since you last did in 1990.

I'm naturaly elated to come away from Anfield with the 3 points and I'm quite surprised that it's been 6 years since we lost there.

It looks as good for United at the moment as it looks poor for Liverpool.

Pre-Christmas report ? Must try harder. You'll need some proper good fortune if you're to end up third or second this season, let alone champions.

I fell asleep just before the goal... but luckily (and thankfully) I woke up in time for the Arsenal game.

We need two world class wingers and another world class forward - if only it was that easy to find them hehe

I also think the british press don't give enough recognition to Ronaldo who is an awesome player, its a shame he has to dive sometimes (as in today) as he is such an awesome player. I was shit scared everytime he got the ball today - luckily he was a bit more quiet.

PS My brother-in-law is a Utd season ticket holder, so we have a begrudging respect for each others team. Suffice to say Liverpool and Man Utd are and always will be the two biggest clubs in England, their history is rich.

well, if you have 8 players standing around in the box and none of them are marking Tevez, you are bound to leak goals. Common sense really , so I cannot understand the shock at losing .

For the record I was not shocked - the OP was. Our performance against the top 4 in the league is appalling - we were lucky we got away with a 1-1 against arsenal earlier in the season. I would have been more than happy with a 0-0 today given Benitez's record against Fergie.

I think you could have played all week and not scored tbh. You need a bit of imagination going forward, from what I saw most of the counter-attacks ended up stalled on the halfway line whilst someone tried to think what to do. The contrast between that and the way Arsenal played afterwards was really quite marked.

I'm a Liverpool fan and from yesterdays games I think Utd and Arsenal are on a different level to both Liverpool and Chelsea right now.

As said, Liverpool never looked like scoring.

Arsenal we're most impressive imo - they're not kids any longer and can take the physical side of the game. A year ago they would have been muscled out of the game, not any more.
They looked so much technically and physically better than Chelsea. I think they'll do very well this season.

that's because they had a full squad to choose from

Chelsea were missing 4 key players and Alex was making up the numbers at the back - he's shite

Looong way to go. Arsenal still have the most paper thin squad which is why I think Utd will win it in the end.

Yesterday did reinforce my view that Ashley Cole is an odious little .
