for all you (and me) speed freaks I am starting a new Roller Skating Club in Glastonbury on the 19th January 2008.

Its kind of (VERY loosely) biker/car/piston related - skates have wheels and you can go VERY fast - especially around corners!!!! Oh and the right gear costs a FORTUNE - LOL and you have to wear a helmet too!

Its a fantastic way to keep fit and loose that "unsprung weight" during the "off" season (CR*P weather) and anyone of any ability is welcome - I can teach anyone to skate.

For the next 4 weekends in December I am doing speedskating demonstrations on a saturday morning leading up to our first public session - you are welcome to come along and see what you are in for - again at the Glastonbury Leisure Center @ 10am.

You might want to lookinto the Tal Total event here where they shut down the roads on both sides of the Rhein for skaters and bikers. Gret fun with free ferries across the rivre and all. Literally hundreds of thoudands take part.
