Yeah a great double. thumbup

The trouble is Mcwr will probably survive now and we'll go to the Euro 08's with no chance of doing well as a result.

I know. Scotland.

But they are gone now. Perpetual losers. bounce

Did you hear all your countrymen booing the Italians at the end? I bet that made you proud to be a sweatie.

Very proud to be a Scot. At least we need to look at the oppostition to boo, rather than one of our "superstars". Also looking forwards to next summer. Can't wait to get behind's Englands piss-weak charge to a penalty shoot-out in the quarter-finals. After telling all who'd listen that tthey were going to win it this time round.

P.S. I will ing piss myself if Croatia win on Wednesday.

Having heard the build up all afternoon on Five Live for the Scots v Iti game I had to laugh whrn they scored in the first minute ... BUT, that didn't stop me watching the rest f the game, and I wanted Scotland to get through ... why not - they have some honest players who deserve to do well. Not world class maybe but good, honest pros.

Was sad to see that shocking ref decision to give the Iti's the free kick which led to the winner. Cruel.

However, then watched the last bit of the Israel v Russia game - I honestly wouldn't have minded if Russia had won - anything that would stop the relentless build up and posturing of the Eng team in the papers between when they get the result they need on Wed and the finals next summer. Months and months of press chat and TV discussion about the team, the manager, the formation, yada yada yadda ... boring - and pointless.

All for us to get there with the press believeing we can tear up som trees only to be disappointed yet again as we fail to deliver - which we will.

If we hadn't got there it might have made the FA sit up and change things a bit in the English system, distributo of Premiership monies, coaching system etc to ensure England teams of the future were able to compete. As it is, if we do get there, nothing will change and the FA will believe they are doing a good job.

Scotland did much better in their group than England would have done in the same group, England would have lost 5 games, Italy and France home and away and Ukraine away, the Scots probably would have topped our group playing the way they did.

Does anyone else wish Russia had have got a draw, meaning England needed to win? I think we'd have had a better chance of qualifying to be honest, can you imagine the tactics England will play knowing they only need a draw? Croatia will probably hammer us.

And Croatia are already there, so expect each team to just pass the ball about with little or no hassle from the opposition ... and this has 0-0 written all over it tbh.

Unless, they decide to make a game of it - but we should get a draw, at home, against them ... unless Robbo is in goal of course, then they always have a chance ...

Already there, so are likely to play full on attacking, expressive football surely?
