Hamiltons car was fooked/notquite-right and he fought to get back up the field. the rugby team played excellently.

I was quite happy about that - we really delude ourselves over that sport, and I find that the players are the most odious form of scum going.

Great role models.

If you are charver scum.

James Toseland did us proud though. Not that he'll be recognised for it though.

I saw last week odds of 7/1 for a England footy and rugger victory, I wonder what the odds would have been on all 3 losers Hamilton/footy/rugger?

Anyway I bet on Alonso to win and Hamilton to get more than 116 points to cover both ends of the spectrum so to speak. Humph.

The Rugby team and Hamilton have done far better than anyone expected and should be applauded as such. The football however should be suitably ashamed for their half-arsed performance

I thought it was a great weekend, we took 3 points off the bitter blues in their own shed.

Could someone answer me this.

If the car was excluded from the constructors championship for allegedly having an unfair advantage, would it have been right for a driver of said car to win the Drivers Championship?

After McLaren lost all their points, Bernie said that if either of their drivers won the title they would do so "under a cloud".

I guess it all boils down to how much you punish the driver/s for a team misdemeanour they were not involved in.

Personally, I think the decision to dock the team points & fine them was a cop out.

Either they were guiltily, in which case both the drivers and team points should have been lost; ot they were innocence, in which case there should have been no punishment at all.

What ever the wrongs and rights of the politics involved, I think Hamilton did a fantastic job this season and should be very proud of himself & I have no doubt that he will be a world champion many times over in the years to come.

Totally agree and not knocking it, but somehow I feel at times we settle for second best too easily! We should be a nation of winners!!!! Our mentality should be to win win win, not take part and enjoy the ride!

If you consider (opening can of worms) how much these sportsmen get paid, surely they should justify thisby getting the results?

Football. Everton 1 - 2 Liverpool.

And with some controversial decisions, which will keep the blues in 'ifitadnabinfa' for years.

Because McLaren was not excluded from the constructors' championship for allegedly having an unfair advantage.

They were excluded from the constructors' championship for being in breach of the International Sporting Code Article 151.c "Any fraudulent conduct or any act prejudicial to the interests of any competition or to the interests of motor sport generally."
Was that because it could not be proved that they had gained from "cheating"? Bit like Al Capone and tax evasion.
