It looks like the service to Brussels on Friday will be affected most...so far....

Due to industrial action by public sector workers in France, Eurostar will be amending its timetable on the 18th and 19th of October 2007 to minimise disruption to travellers.

Thursday 18th of October

The following six Eurostar services will be cancelled on Thursday 18 October - other services may be subject to delay or possible short notice cancellation:

9003 06.22 Paris - London Waterloo
9049 17.43 Paris – London Waterloo

9012 09.09 London Waterloo - Paris
9040 16.12 London Waterloo - Paris
9046 17.40 London Waterloo - Paris

9148 16.39 London Waterloo - Brussels

No Eurostar services will call at Calais-Fréthun throughout the day

Eurostar services will only call at Lille Europe station between 10.00 and 19.00 (French time) – outside these times no Eurostar trains will arrive/depart from the station. The following services will not call at Lille Europe station.

9109 07.05 Brussels – Lille (07.42) – London Waterloo
9157 18.59 Brussels – Lille (19.36) – London Waterloo
9163 20.28 Brussels – Lille (21.06) – London Waterloo

9148 16.39 London – Lille (19.29) – Brussels
9154 18.11 London – Lille (20.56) – Brussels
9158 19.13 London – Lille (21.54) - Brussels

There will also be no services on the Paris urban transport network (including the Metro and RER) throughout the day and very limited services on the French high speed TGV network.

Eurostar is therefore advising all travellers not to travel if at all possible on Thursday 18 October. Travellers who choose not to travel will be able to exchange their tickets for travel within the next 60 days. All ticket exchanges are subject to availability.

Friday 19th of October

On Friday 19 October the following four Eurostar services will be cancelled:

9003 06.22 Paris - London Waterloo

9148 16.39 London Waterloo - Brusselsi

9109 07.05 Brussels - London Waterloo
9149 17.05 Brussels - London Waterloo

Travellers booked on the above four trains who choose not to travel will be able to exchange their tickets for travel within the next 60 days.

All ticket exchanges are subject to availability.

I think they would have done this regardless. French Trade Unions basically wanted the most exposure and cause the biggest problems. I bet they targeted this final for a while, ttS

When we went over for the opening world cup game in Lens there was a train strike and the only trains available were hourly TGV's from Bethune. Also the taxi drivers decided to have the day off.

Coincidence that the English were in town? Non!!

Just heard on Radio1 that the Frenchies are striking for an extra 24 hours. What this means I'm not sure but I'd check the stations, ports and airports for any updates to your travel plans.
