Last night me and my Mum were generously brought some tickets to next weeks final, so I'm off to Paris next weekend.
Anyone else going?
COME ON ENGLAND!
Now before you get too smug, have you made sure you can actually get a flight or ferry, what with Eurostar having already sold out?Anyone else going?

I read in one of the papers today that every private hire aircraft in the South East was booked yesterday, and Le Bourget airport had their busiest day in decades!

Yup have got flights, booked this morning, Birmingham to Paris. Not cheap though. The price actually increased whilst we were booking them. I think you would struggle to get hold of any now.

Does this mean we won't be getting any illegal immigrants for a week?Greenie said:
I'm off to Paris too.
Travel and hotel all sorted now.
Tickets not but will watch it on the big screen if we can't get get hold of any below mortgage money. Just want to be there.
Apart from the ground (of course) where is the best place to go?
Day after Eng vs SA I watched Australia vs Wales at the alfresco big screen located at Hotel De Ville and it was awsome !!!Travel and hotel all sorted now.

I reckon tickets may not be impossible to come by if you get near the ground close to kick off. I tried to flog my England vs. SA tickets (also at Stade) (appreciate not as much in demand as final) outide the ground (would've sold for face value or less) and didn't get any takers

We had a spare ticket to the final as a Kiwi mate who lives in London decided to go see his family than watch the game, we sold it to a guy we met in the pub the night before for face value - top bloke
I'm going - Paris that is, not the game. Managed the group games and semi but the price for final tickets is £700 too much for my wallet. Arrive about 11am, hotel is 10 mins walk from the Eiffel Tower and thats where we're heading.
After the games at the Stade it's been a nightmare getting back into town so even though you might be in the stadium, the celebrations will be better in the rugby parks.
We'd considered trying to get tickets outside the stadium up to half an hour before kick off but then it screws us for getting to a big screen. Resigned now to watching it on a screen but if an offer comes our way then we'll probably snap it up.

Me too sorted it in Feb, really thought then it would be an AB or Aus/France final, booked at the time with about 20 Kiwi's and Aussie mates, the numbers have dwindled to 4 !!!Travel and hotel all sorted now.

We will be watching it in the Parc du Champs de Mars, they had the big screen set up for the semi along with bars and someother post match entertainment, the plan is to set that all up again.
Yep we're all booked, 6am ferry sat morning (could only get on Norfolk Lines before 2pm!!!) found a hotel after hours of hunting on tinterweb for reasonable money £150 3 star about 10 mins walk from Eiffel Tower and Arc De Triumph (sp?) Intend watching it on big screens hopefully near Eiffel Tower but open to suggestions if anyone knows best venue for big screens

Yep I'm going to! Heading out on friday back on monday. My mate is driving right now but i am toying with the idea of taking my gallardo. Anybody else driving down on friday? Stimmers are you taking you 360?
No mate - Eurostar this time. Drove down in my Audi S5 for the group game vs South Africa as there were 4 of us and its the only game i had forgot to book a flight/train for Doh, so i had to drive. It really is quite an easy trip actually. Can get up some pretty 'decent' speed on those Northern France Rd'syeah mine is a bit last minute so i don't have much choice but to drive! I have to say i didn't think there would be much chance of seeing england in the final, especially after our early performance. I reckon i might as well make the drive a bit of fun though and take the G. Weather looking fairly dry so i'll keep my fingers crossed.

I took my NSX down to north Paris for the SA game and vowed never to do it again. Every French car in Paris had at least one dent and noone seemed to obey the traffic laws.Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
