Randy Couture resigns from the UFC

Randy has resigned as the heavyweight champion

He said it was because of the fact that Fedor (Emelianenko) just signed with another organization and that's the only fight that makes sense for him at 44 years old and also he believes the UFC have being taken advantage of him, not giving him the respect he deserves and not paying him enough compared to what some of the other fighters are getting.

Damn shame but I can see where he is coming from. The Fedor fight was the one everyone wanted to see.

I give it a year and itll happen, fedor has to fight in the ufc at some point otherwise he'll never be respected as the best by the modern fans. The fact randy was on less cash than chuck and the pride guys is ridiculous, most of the pride guys have been uselss in the octagon, rampage excepted. Cro cop has a $500,000 per match deal alledgedly and hes done nothing except get ttted twice. This isnt the first time Randy has "retired" remember.
