Rugby - the football is hardly a game of equal importance.

So of course, I'm able to watch the football and I'll miss the rugby irked

I suppose it would depend if you prefered one over the other. The Semi-Final has more riding on it, so I'd watch the rugby, but I'd happily watch the footy! Therefore I have not answered your question smile

What football?

I'm glad you posted this, as if there is a football game on at the same time as the Rugby, I'll have to check in advance to make sure I can find a pub with taste!

I would never choose to watch football. I would never choose to miss an England rugby game.

Oh Christ, not this again rolleyes

Some people like Rugby, some people like Football. Football's on at 3, Rugby's on at 8. Why don't we all just support England in both?

Ah, thank you.

I truly had no idea there was a football game on, so when I read the OP's post, I assumed they clashed! smile

Edited to revert to it's original, and correct term... Soccer is derives from Association FOOTBALL... Thus, football is correct, soccer is slang.

If I had to choose it'd be the Football (Rugby Union rules) rather than the Football (Association rules) but yesterday I was doing a cross country race in Swansea at 3:05pm so no option for me.

Hopefully England will continue to do well in both though.
