Many years ago...(before the dawn of time...) I used to throw Javelin for Surrey (under 18)...then got lazy, and ended up throwing Javelin, Discuss and Shot for local athletics club.

Now all I can throw is a wobbly..

My son does shot and discus to a high level.
I am a level 2 official and his asst.coach/manager/Gen dogsbody.
I occasionally compete but I have so many injuries it is pathetic.

Oh and I also drive a Red 944 (2.7, not turbo)

Devon U13 Javelin record holder for a while but it didn't progress as I'd hoped; as I got older I didn't get proportionally better at it. Last threw one about 8 years ago.

My pen name here gives my game away. Been throwing hammer for some time, and kept at it 'til I had a little medical problem last year and missed out on this year. I plan on getting back into it next season though.

Dabble a bit with the other implements as well, although they land too close to me these days.
