Who'd be a Wednesday fan?
Discussion
Not only have they yet to win a game this season, if they voice any displeasure about it the club will have them in court!

But it's OK for the chairman to use words like 'cretins' and 'scum' when referring to the fans:

Words fail me. Which is probably just as well really.

I'm not a Wednesday fan (QPR which is just as depressing) but I went to last night's game against Burnley with a mate who's is.
What a mess! Aimless long balls, both the new signings (Jeffers and Sodje)subbed after the second goal. Laws looks like a man without a clue. Lose to Hull on Saturday and I'm sure he'll be gone.
A mere 18,000 there last night and sporadic 'Allen Out' chants.
A long grim season ahead methinks....

happy days!
Fisrt time I went to see Wednesday was in '66 I think. They beat Chelsea 6-1, had a seat in the North Stand (my dad knew a man who knew a man...) I remember Don Megson,Gerry Young,Peter Springett,Jonny Fantham etc.Went for years with my dad.Even went to watch them in the third division (Exeter etc) I first went at age 7 in '73. Followed them through thick and thin all the way to the prem. Went to 91 league cup beating man u and all for wembley games..beating pigs in the semi and the subsequent draws and losses to arsenal. Still going now but thankfully not as often!
yeah...who'd be a wednesday fan!?

It was mentioned on the radio this morning that Adam Pearson (ex Hull City Chairman) may be interested in buying the Owls...Not to worry, the chairmans still sueing the fans...

could be worse - I'm off to See the Millers V. Notts County on saturday
Used to watch Wednesday as a kid - Halcyon days of Mel "Zico" Sterland, Imre Veradi.....ahhh memories.
biggest kop and best view ever
Got to this thread late, but this quote brought back memories. I live in Poole now, but am from Sheffield, & it was only 4 or 5 years ago I used to play in an over 35 saturday side with those 2 guys, & Chris Waddle as well. Mel has piled on the weight sadly, but still had it & put in as much effort then as his halcyon days. In fact they all still had it!!!Used to watch Wednesday as a kid - Halcyon days of Mel "Zico" Sterland, Imre Veradi.....ahhh memories.

Oh, & I wouldn't be a Wednesday fan, I'm a Blade!!
