Sunday's Big Game
Discussion
Hey Mark!
I'm referring to the All-Ireland Football Semi-Final.
All the Irish counties take part, but tomorrow the game features the two most successful counties, Kerry and Dublin. Armagh and Tyrone have won it recently from Ulster and Down and Cavan have done reasonably well, but it's the provinces of Munster and Leinster who have really dominated, most notably in the shape of Kerry who are the current All-Ireland Senior Football Champions winning their 34th title following a comprehensive win over Mayo.
Dublin are next in the 'most wins' list with 22.
Kerry (the 'Kingdom') is the birthplace of my Mum and therefore half my heritage (and Mick O'Connell- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mick_O%27Connell )!
I'd also add that I LOVE the game, the blend of skill and aggression puts it somewhere between Australian Rules and our Football.....but without the institutional cheating of the latter.
