LIVERPOOLS NEW STADIUM-VERY IMPRESSIVE!
Discussion
Not made my mind up yet, the renders are a bit poor to be fair.
Plenty of pics on www.redandwhitekop.com in the forums.
When the application goes through to boost capacity (stumbling block is opening a new train station) the corners will be filled in.
Parking will be a freaking nightmare, seeing as it's being dumped on the school car park.
Glad they got the Kop spot on though, and if I ever struggle for a ticket in the future, I can have a picnic on Stanley Park and watch through the big windows.

I have a problem with the 'modern' design in hindsight.
Think about all the concrete crap councils threw up in the 70's, looked good at the time, but fashion and taste change. 30-40 years on and these concrete towerblocks/car parks/council offices are being ripped down as we speak (think of the opening credit grimness of 'The Office')
Can't help but think in not too much time we'll be left with a steel and glass eyesore. You can apply that train of thought to all these 'Urban Splash' style developments in every UK city centre actually.

I think it looks great - very much reminds me of The Guggenheim in Bilbao
There are sure to be many naysayers, but I think it's fantastic and a welcome exit from the boring bowls we've seen pop up around the country.
I also think it will look better once the second planning app is submitted for the extra seating in the corners.

Entirely agree, it's unique and it's a step away from the identikit stadiums that have been the norm over the last 10 years. The Kop looks great, it'll be very intimidating.I also think it will look better once the second planning app is submitted for the extra seating in the corners.
