Hi

I notice some but not all England players are wearing black armbands on their left arms - Why? and why not all?

The armbands are for Alan Ball.

I guess those missing are maybe subs, or perhaps they changed shirts at half-time?

Were Gary Linekar's explanation that the arm bands were in honour of Alan Ball, that there would be a minute of applause in his memory, and the shot of the big screen saying "Alan Ball 1945-2007" not big enough clues for you?

Sorry only caught a bit of the game when I was channel hopping - not of much interest if you're not a Brazilian or an English person - and not much interest to those either judging by what I saw.

Regarding the armbands - I thought when I saw them that Team McCann were at their work again.

R-sey winker!

Given that you've never missed the build up or first few minutes of any football game ever played in your lifetime, why was there a few seconds silence before the start of Estonia vs Croatia?

It was something that would have been guessed at but if you arrived home late (like I did) and were trying to get ready and get down to the boozer you might not have been 100% certain redcard
