Anyone else see Dwain Chambers on Inside Sport?

I thought at first it was really sad that this once great athlete was reduced to living in a rubish hotel room and practicing catching a ball all day.

Then I thought about what he said.... no remource for taking drugs and cheating, not believing he could win without drugs, attacking Darren Campbell for not doing a lap of honour with a drugs cheat

It looked a sad existence for the 6th best wide receiver of the 3rd best team in the 2nd best league!!!

I didn't see it but may download it from somewhere. There's a short bit about it on the BBC Sport site: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/athletics/6697417....

I agree with him that sport is never going to be drug-free, but think the fight against drugs is definitely worthwhile.

The article plays it down from the way Chambers appeared in the programme. His attitude was in his voice, and he was smirking at the drugs questions.

The fight against drugs has to continue, or we will see the issues the East Germans face now after prolonged use 30 years ago.

He also had real hatred for Darren Campbell

I have no respect for Chambers at all, apart from the fact that he's accepted the consequences of his actions.

It is interesting that he's desperate to earn money outside of athletics so that he doesn't have to pay back prize-money (or some such, I can't remember the exact details).

I hope he does well at it, he'll be closely watched for drug use, and if he slips up, that'll make life very very tough for him.

Just another athlete with self-confidence issues that got it all wrong.
