When are we going to get rid of the FA rent boy all he did at Boro was have one decent Eufa run which they lost badly and he gets the England job. He is just a yes man for the FA someone who won't upset Alex Ferguson only pick players he says then picks crap like downing and phil neville we play games like last night to give players a chance say from under 21's and who does he play but downing and smith and a load of has beens of players who just are not good enough to wear the shirt. He gives Nugent a start against Andorra then leaves him on the bench last nite what is going on then to top it all off he now brings back Beckham granted he's been playing well but don't bring him back we should be bringing the young players in to the squad not the past. Please please please please lets sack the Mac before this gets worse i never thought i'd say this but i hope we don't qualify for euros then they will have to get rid of him. Personally with things up in the air at Arsenal lets go for Wenger his football style is awesome and Terry Henry sounds like a good english name that will solve the forward problem. My last moan against the Mac is he said before one of the Qualifiers he had a problem who to pick in defence Phil Neville or Carragher please the only problem is he wasted brain power and ink putting Nevilles name on the team selection lets get rid of him before were as big a laughing stock as wales.
I agree about ditching Mac.
Sven's ginger brother imo. At least Beckham is back.

Carragher really should get a look in after a pretty solid season imo.*

Lucas i'm gutted Becks is back we should be building a young squad for the world cup not bringing Becks back or trying to get scholes to change his mind i'd rather likes of Lennon from spurs plays than Becks lets not forget he was one of the worst England players in his last 10 games or so for England we need to look ahead not in the past. Mac said that rooney ain't played well for 2 years but still picks him some players are good for club just not for country.Like him or not crouch has scored the goals for England but Shrek always gets picked ahead of him when it should be on who performs not if you played for Man ure Boro or anyone with a link to FA.
Not sure why Neville gets such a hard time. He is statistically one of the better players in the league. I think he was 27th in the actim, ahead of the likes of Carragher, Carrick, etc, and 4th in the top defenders. I'm afraid reputation, and tabloid opinion are taken over statistical analysis.
And, after going and having a look, he is in the team of the season as well.

McLoser was appointed because Scolari turned them down publicly forcing them to make a quick decision and they were scared to go for Allardyce because they knew Panorama was brewing. They went for McLoser because he was a safe option (they thought) after being legged over by Chance the Gardener (AKA SGE).
My guess is that they now realise that they have dropped a huge bollock but as they are still paying off Chance at £squillions a year it would be a bit embarrassing to have another ex manager being paid off at huge money.
They are not called the FA for nothing you know.

Unrepentant it would cost a million to get rid of Mac that would be money well spent for a change if it meant qualifying for tournaments. As for SGE he wants the city job and once he takes a job the FA stop paying his wages so i reckon seen as the prem has gone soft with west ham we tell city that if they give him the job we'll award them 12 points and 5 pens to take when they want them and if they miss they can take them again anything to make us proud of England once again. Although i wasn't a big fan of EL Tel at least we had some pride and passion in the Euros and the fans got behind them.

A million? No chance - hes on at least £3 million a year (poss 4?) and has a 4 year contract with a year expired. He will never again pick up a job on anything like the money he's on so they would have to buy him out. Even with a compromise agreement it would cost £6 mill.Andy Mac said:
Just curious, but if I have a 5 year contract of employment, and they sack me, why don't I get the full 5 years finance? Why do managers get this special treatment? It's like the chief execs of big companies who leave due to incompetence, and they get huge pay-offs.
If you have a 5 year service contract (which is very unusual) then you are entitled to the unexpired part. Most PLC directors now have a max of 3 years (since Cadbury recommended) and many have a "rolling" one or two year contract. It's done to protect both parties. If a CEO were able to suddenly leave it could cause the company big problems, particularly if he went to a competitor. By the same token most top directors want some wort of security, hence the service contract. Edited to say I see you live in the USA, where employment law is completely different.

Yes, but people tend to be sacked for incompetence. Are they entitled to that money, even if guilty of incompetence?
I guess its a question of proof? Also senior directors tend to know quite a bit about other senior directors if you get my drift. So it could get a bit messy. When I was last on the board of a plc we initially all had 3 yr contracts with 12 months notice at the end but the Chairman had a 3 year roller! Meaning if the other directors wanted to fire him he was entitled to 3 yrs pay. Eventually we all had 12 month rollers which I think is fair as it covers both sides without being overly generous.
Sven was the 2nd most succesful manger we have ever had.
Does it ever cross your mind that this bunch of players are just not good enough, they are not as good as most seem to think? Sure some of them play well for the club, but they are playing around world class over seas players, it would be hard not to play well.
I lay the blame with the players not the manager. Bunch of overpaid , over hyped children

I think McLaren lacks judgement.
He dropped Beckham with the promise that this was some kind of fresh start for England but all we've had since, are some incredibly poor performances, confused looking formations and a team lacking any kind of cohesion whatsoever.
Take the Israel game as an example. Incredibly, he plays Gerrard on the right and Lennon on the left. Also, Hargreaves, who had just recovered from a broken leg, replaced Michael Carrick. Where's the sense in that? It was a similar story Vs Croatia when we lost. An overly defensive, negative, almost scared looking England team were basically overwhelmed by 11 average looking Croatia players on the night. The only person to blame for these performances is McLaren, no-one else.
Whether you like it or not, Beckham has been brought back because the team simply works better with him in it. Problem is, it's taken McLaren far too long to figure this out.
At the moment, we don't have a good enough alternative to Beckham and even if you think there is, we certainly don't have a mangager capable of moulding a team exempt of David Beckham into any kind of effective unit.
