Paul Jewell an expert at relegation fights, makes sense as the next Man City manager.

Comedian!

Bad decision by the board to get rid of Pearce; he's not had a good season but would have a lot from it and we could have benefitted from that. Instead someone else will. Half of the problems at the club over the last 20-30 years have been caused by getting rid of managers who were doing a decent job after one blip (Book, Machin, etc). we only have to look across at United to see how giving a manager time often pays dividends - after all Fergie struggled at United 86-89 particularly.

Wonder how many of the Academy boys will now go?

And appointing Jewell is hardly a sign of ambition.

Sack the board (again)

There's only speculation about Jewell, because he left on the same day. Or am I missing something?

Give it some time. If there is to be a takeover, then there are obviously a few already lined up by the (soon to be) new owners. Surely the new manager won't be in place until the new owners come in?

The only improvement I could see (of those that are out there) is Gerrard Houillier.

Eriksson - please no! Would there be enough money for him to spend anyway?
Jewell - a HUGE step backwards and definitley a case for sacking the board.
Roeder - ditto
Coleman - ditto

Anybody got any names they want to throw in the hat?

Bernstein, please come back and save us from these morons.
