If so here's my take on Saturday

A 10 hour day 6 of them spent travelling with the feint hope my beloved Reds would somehow get over the line and give us all something to go wild about. The atmosphere before the match was awesome, a nigh on packed City Ground basking in the May sunshine, it was fit to grace the Premiership, I was proud to be a Red. It brought me out in goose bumps. Hopefully it would inspire the players to put on a display to be proud of irrespective of what was happening elsewhere, but alas instead of inspire them it frightened them to death. OK we knocked the ball about a bit in our own half, but this was third division football and a workman like Crewe had us in their pocket, how our goal survived in tact I’ll never know, Paul Smith definitely the man of the match and even he was shaky at times. When the Bristol score filtered through the crowd broke out into a chorus of Que sera, sera, but on this performance Yeovil won’t be too concerned. I can remember singing We’re gonna win the European Cup at the Charity Shield v Ipswich and by God we meant it, the players were confident to the extreme, and that filtered back to us, anything was possible, but on yesterdays performance it looks like it’s a wet Tuesday night in Cheltenham and a windswept afternoon in Hartlepool's to look forward to. The likes of Wolves, WBA, Preston, Southampton and even Colchester would rip through our defence and OK we were missing Tyson & Agogo, but there was nothing going on up front to suggest we’d trouble their defences either. As for a lap of honour, fair enough the players may have wanted to say thanks for the tremendous support they get, but perhaps they should have done that on the pitch. In my opinion they failed this season, anything less than automatic promotion wasn’t good enough, with all due respect to Shorpe it should have been Forest promoted with 3 games to spare, it just goes to show you don’t need millions of pounds to do it, just a well drilled team and sound tactics, best of luck to them. And as for making Bristol win promotion, well, we threw it away with pathetic results at Brighton, Oldham, Doncaster, Bournemouth and home to Orient, Shorpe, the list goes on. I can accept there must be some pressure on the players having to play in the shadow of the glory days of old, but for me, this season, every time they’ve had to step up to the plate, they’ve failed miserably, away to Salisbury and Chelsea was an embarrassment. Should we get to Wembley and I’m not holding my breath I’ll be there giving them a 100% support, but sometimes I do wonder whether they deserve it.
