Woeful game and, yup, not a patch on Mancs v Milan. As a Liverpool supporter we missed Finnan and needed Riise in midfield. Bellamy is off in the summer and played like it. Arbeloa and Agger are young and will learn. They've been superb in previous games so no criticism of them really. We knew the weaknesses well before last night and I'm sure Rafa knows where the dollars need to be spent in the summer.

I have to say it looks like the Mancs year. 1-1 at Anfield next week and Chelsea are welcome to attend Fergie's retirement bash in Athens.

No 6 will come, but not this year.

As a Blue, i'm well happy with 1-0. Liverpool did not look at all threatening apart from 1 Gerrard shot from 25 yards.

With Essien back next week as well as Ballack available it looks good for us. Yes the atmosphere will be a lot different, but Liverpool normally do all the hard work away from home in this years champions league and they failed to do anything really last night.

Come on the blues....

What a truly dire match that was .... absolute rubbish. Hope Liverpool take them back to Anfield and beat them.

Summed up pretty well there mate.

Drogba was a constant threat, which we knew he would be. I think we (Liv) are crying out for a world class striker who would make the difference in a game like this.. - Also think he'd do the same in the league).

Bellamy was v.poor and no suprise Crouch came on. Riise also had a shocker by my recogning.

I said throughout the game we need to score, as i can see Chelsea scoring at Anfield. I think it'll be 1-1 as well, but if we beat them like in the recent league game, we're quite capable of winning the whole thing.

Its not over and hopefully will be a cracking game at anfield next tueday.

Plus, i'd also like to see Sissoko back in the team.
