When I go running currently I have to stuff into my bra: inhaler, ID card and MP3 player, sometimes a car key, now its getting warmer again i need to carry my Epi pen (grrr wasps) its quite bulky and Im out of room.

Can anyone suggest a good little something to put all my stuff in?
I dont want anything too bulky thats going to bang against me or make me sweaty (dont need any extra help with that)

Thanks

sorry... bigger bra??? hehe (someone was gonna say it so I might as well be 1st!)

Seriously though - similar issue when I run in summer, nicely solved this year by the fact that we now own a dog (that likes running) that my wife kindly purchased a "utility vest" for (let the slating begin - I deserve it) but as gay as this sounds it's actually really useful to let the dawg carry all my shit! No dog? then some running shorts have a pouch-like poket on the inside of the waist that will snug fit an ID plus MP3/mobile inside and cos it's tight it don't come out on the run. iPod arm straps are another alternative for the phone/MP3.

I was waiting for lots of comments about getting hot & sweaty etc hehe

No dog, sadly

its the epi pen thats the problem really, best way to describe hmm about large cigar size? its such a pain to cart about but sadly essential at this time of year.

never heard of that - I take it from OP that it repels insects? Maybe run faster!

Never had insects bother me other than breathing in those friggin small ones when you run at dusk

An epi pen has adrenaline in it, Im allergic to wasps, if i get stung I need to inject myself in the leg.
Taking anti histamines daily should keep any reaction to a min, but just in case! yikes

Ahhh, "I see" said the blind man! Here was silly colonial me thinking it was some crazy brit invention for warding off wasps!paperbag
I guess if it's pen shaped & you have longer hair like a lot of gals do, the old tie the hair up & stick the pen through it Mikado style could help???

I like your thinking

I do have long hair, could try and encorporate it into my bun somehow..

Hello, Both me and my wife run and there are a couple of things you can use:

There are foot wallets (you can get them from any good running shop like Apex sports), you can also get Nike tops which have an ipod hole (and a space for the wires) JJB currently have them on 20% off (at least the one in Slough does)

Asking the question on Runnersworld will also give you a good idea of what is available

Any way of threading some string through the epi pen? Then stick it round your neck?

Fasten keys to self using string of shorts (and then tuck into pants just in case).

Does anyone have a Platypus water bag rucksack thing, and would they recommend it?

I have one. What are you thinking of using it for? I never carry water with me on my runs anyway and I go for up to 2 hours. I use the Platypus when I'm out cycling or walking for the day and it performs OK although I think the Camelbak systems are slightly more user-friendly.

I was thinking of running with it on. I've been running while holding a water bottle, and it's annoying and I look a cock. I would also use it for cycling, though. There's no room on my bike frame to fit a bottle holder.

I'd suggest you don't need to take water with you on runs (unless you're doing ultra-long distances every time) - just make sure you're hydrated before you go and re-hydrate when you get back.

If you want to take water, a Camelback/Platypus is probably a good idea as you don't like carrying a bottle. Definitely good for cycling too.

Once the temp gets over 30 deg I recommend taking a small water supply if yr runs are 45 mins or more (not that we get too many 30+ days here)

Get some sweat bands and insert items into them.
