Time to replace McClaren with a manager brave enough to choose between Lampard and Gerrad.
Playing the pair of them together doesn't work

I definately agree on the players. Both are quality, world class players in their own right, but they clearly can't play to their strengths when in the same team.
Lennon's also a quality player, but England aren't going to get any better until they also start playing left footers on the left hand side of midfield.
I do agree with McClaren going, not just because of lamps and gerrard, but also because of the tactics, the player selections and their positions and also because you never get the feeling he quite knows what he's doing and that he's motivating them in any way.
Its a shocking waste of world class players!
An english chef using (mostly) world class ingredients to make a passable hot-pot.
Its about time the ingredients were turned into the prize winning Duck a la Orange.
I shan't be wasting any more time watching another game until McMoneyren has departed unless there's a huge (and unforeseen) turnaround.

I watched the whole thing and shouted at the screen for most of it.
In EVERY other position we have to chose the best man for the job with the possible exception of centre back since the two positions there are ALMOST identical.
However... whilst we undoubtably have two decent attacking midfielders it's surely time to choose ONE.
If the choice is Lampard then I'm afraid the choice that then gives for the right side between Gerrard and Lennon means Stevie sits on the bench.
However..... it would also mean that Lampard must work as hard as Gerrard AND look as likely to score as Gerrard.... something that isn't the case as long as Frank has a hole in his arse.
Over the decades I've been watching England a great many excellent players have got minimal caps because they were unfortunate enough to come through alongside a better player, why should this be any different for Lampard. I SERIOUSLY think that his inclusion and the subsequent compromises that ensue are the major factor in our recent failures.
I personally don't rate Downing very highly, but his left foot is far more accurate than Lennon's....
McLaren's head shaking after the game was very worrying.....

What gets me is the pre-match talk of "no more excuses, it's time to perform". Day after the match; no performance and excuses, excuses, excuses.
We were poor yesterday, and had nothing special about us. Rooney is either a spectacularly brilliant footballer, or a frustrated lout letting anger get the better of him. Last night we saw the latter, and to be honest I can't blame him with the tactics we play.
Lampard spends most of his time passing the ball backwards or sideways, and on several occasions didn't release the ball to Gerrard who was clearly in a better position. He also could have possibly passed to Rooney who was in a much better position in front of goal. He's an excellent player, but not for England. He must be seen as an excellent back-up to Gerrard from now on, but McClaren appears to not have the balls nor mental capacity to make this decision.
Finally, McClaren. Very few thought he was the right choice. I found myself willing us not to get a result last night in the hope that we get rid of him sooner rather than later, at least giving us an opportunity in The Euro's. He's the wrong man, but he's backed by The FA who are just as inept as he, if not more...
A sad state of affairs.
