what surprised me was how different the views were of the experts on the BBC post match commentary - with only one of them (French dude if I recall) selecting JW...

Having players competing for positions can only be a good thing.

I think JW needs to take a step back for a few games, give the new kids some more match experience.

I'd pick Wilkinson, but as a Welshman, I hope they don't!

Even though I rate Geraghty right up there, having seen him destoy defeneces all season for London Irish, I would still select Wilko at the moment due to his emance talent and experience. However Flood and Geraghty are surely the future.

The try Geragty aet up today was awesome.

Think I'd pick Flood.

JW is a great player, however he's injury prone - did you see the Beeb list all his injurys..? You could barely find anything not smashed up.

Also, other teams target him. Look how quickly his got his swede smashed in the Six Nations opener...

He got lucky! He's a good player but just got a break against a shocking France team! I thought Flood was better.

Its going to be interesting next week, whoever plays wont get the space the French team left. I reckon my gran would have looked good yesterday and it really helped having a proper centre outside that good sort out any problems. My guess is that, if he's fit, JW will play next week, that will be fine assuming the same centre partnership plays. A bigger issue is what is going to happen with Farrell fit? If Catt can hold his form I would leave him at inside centre through to the WC now, in that situation Either Tindale or Tait would be the obvious choices outside. One of Flood or Geraghty on the bench as cover.

I'd keep Flood, He proved me wrong yesterday by showing he had the composure to match talent. We all know what Jonny can do and what he brings. Leave him alone in club rugby and lets really develop flood, geraghty to the point where they are pushing Wilko for the 10 shirt.

Would be rather silly to not take the opportunity to create strength in depth

I think Flood has developed well at Newcastle because JW has been injured, just hope he doesn't get sidelined now that JW is "fit" again.

True! But the team that beat Ireland just didn turn up. Same could be said of England in that the team that played Ireland didnt turn up. I thought England were Ok, much better in the second half with a bit of confidence, but France were woeful, no one seemed up for it at all. Next week will be a real test, Wales have had a shocker but England in Cardiff... As far as Wales are concerned this is just a one off match now and an utter must win; I have no doubt we'll see a Wales team well up for it. I think England can win, but its going to be much harder.

Well Jonny's out, so it looks like it's between Geraghty and Flood. My money's on Flood.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby

However, I have it on good authority that Wales are to field an unchanged team on Saturday. I've given up trying to fathom out Gyppo Jenkins. It's like watching a bloke trying to knock in a nail using a screwdriver, who's unwilling to change to a hammer because he doesn't want to lose face. Brian Ashton must be jumping for joy!

Oh well, at least Brains are thinking positive...
