What a turn around-He's taken the team from bottom of the league to being in contention for the playoffs-Does anyone think they'll get promoted this season?

Yeah, I've been talking about him this weekend, oddly enough.

As a first time manager, he's achieved an incredible amount at a club that was really in a bad way when he stepped in.

Credit to Quinn too for having the balls to take him on.

Keane is one of those rare people who will succeed, simply because he has the will to. He is a lot brighter than people give him credit for, too.

I've no time for dunderland, but what he's acheived is remarkable. And all based around the psychology of getting Quinn's agreement to treat the player like Premiership players, with the expense that entails. Such as staying overnight in hotel before home games.

A smart bloke and a likely successor to SAF at OT, unless Coppell gets the nod first.

Possibly automatic promotion; from 24th to 1st/2nd is amazing. He's done a great job there. He's still a tt, though.

Hmm, that's what I thought as well but seeing him give interviews up here he comes across quite well and not the sort of maniac I thought when seeing him play. To get an idea think of Mark Hughes the player compared to Mark Hughes the manager. Keane is only let down by using the words'give credit to......' too many times

His tactics were spot on on Saturday, though he could hardly have expected us to be so poor for 75 minutes. Seems to have the respect of the players and the fans and their rise up the table has been impressive.

I worry that being a strong personality is good when things are fine, but caqn easily become a very bad influence. e.g. Craig Bellamy. I thought what Roy Keane did with Mick McCarthy and ROI was disgraceful and my view of him has been permanently tarnished as a result.

Ah yes but having red and white eyes I have conveniently forgotten about that

My eyes are Black and White to be honest, but my in laws are all Red and Whites and my MIL and FIL both hold season passes for the Stadium of Light, so I hold a vested interest. Their improvement this season has been nothing short of astonishing and they have every chane of going up and staying up (something they've not been too hot at doing of recent years), if the current regime can continue. I'm very impressed with them at the moment, much that I think RK is a jerk, (and not because I'm a dirty skunk).

Plymouth went to the SOL in August and came away 3-2 winners. The black cats came to Home Park in February and tonked Argyle 2-0.

Although I'm an Argyle fan, I would say that we have been pretty consistent this season apart from a few flashes of brilliance/luck. So that neatly illustrates their turnaround in my book.

Promotion? Yes I think they go up automatically.

Got to agree with that. During various interviews I`ve seen this season he`s showed a different side to his character. Behind the punch image is a manager destined for great things.

Well said, couldn't agree more. Keane as a player is a legend. He's now showing us he could well be one as a manager too. Sunderlands rise is nothing short of remarkable. Fair do's to Quinn for giving him the chance and now they seem to be reaping the rewards. They've played some of the top teams recently and done really well. Will they go up...i think its too hard to call at the mo.

The promotion race is really hotting up now, especially with the top teams all playing each other. I think it could go down to the wire!

He was just a boy while playing in Ireland. RK completed a very successful apprenticeship with NF...during which he picked up most of what he knows about managing (At the time logged for a later date).
The skills he attained from BC have been adapted to suit modern players attitude...I can see him being Very successful, possibly an all time great!
