Do you feel sorry for West Ham fans?
Discussion
I do actually, the team are messing about and not working hard enough imo especially when you see this http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footb Accodring to some papers this morning he claimed his Grandmother was ill, bit stupid when your older brother has a higher profile than you but there you go... But you then include this
And then points being deducted because of the actions of the previous owners it must be grating.
Saw Tevez's celebration and I did think good on him, he has deserved it, works hard off the ball, good battling player and celebrates in the crowd - but gets booked because of one of the most stupid rules ever created.
Shame.

They cost us a champions league place last season, this season we cost them Premiership status. Seems fair
Er ?? No, Spurs didnt gain enough points over the course of the season to finish in a Champs League spot......
and no again, if West Ham do get relegated it's because they havent secured enough points over the entire season
No
When they took Pardew from Reading they were full of themselves about how much bigger a club they are etc etc. They are a typical example of a club, fans and players who think that they deserve everything rather than working their nuts off for it.
The attitude of SOME of their players is a disgrace.
I am quite happy to se them drop.

I'm sure West Ham fans work as hard as any other fans, I know of at least two who hold down more than 1 job.
Not quite sure what you mean by this statement, but the club has its roots in a thoroughly working class (read poorest) parts of London and has survived on a mixture hard work of nuturing players from grass roots level and a decent following to fund the purchase of the odd player or two.
Your perception IMO is way off.
If you associate "hard working" with the fans commitment then you only
have to look at the clubs' average attendances (both home & away) over the years, irrespective of which divsion(& form) they have been in to see the fans definatley put the effort in.
Recent examples, taking 7.5k fans to Wigan in the fizzy pop league, taking over 2k for a midweek Carling cup match away at Bolton
IMO the majority of West Ham fans & are not glory hunters with delusions of grandueur (spelling) you only have to look with what they have put up with over the years, selling off their best players, bond scheme debacle, etc etc yet the support remains.
They mainly care about 2 things, the players put the effort in (a la Billy Bonds)& the team always try to play attractive entertaining football.
Sadly, as you rightly point out, its a shame some of the current players dont put the required levels of effort in
editied some typos

Fair enough, however being a Reading fan, they were very high and mighty and very condescending ( the ones that bothered) whenh writing on football forums etc at the time. It was al about how much of a big club they were and I suppose that a lot of the feeling I have towards them now is based more in the " what goes around comes around" camp. However the much publicesed behaviour of some of their "star" players recently does nothing to help their cause.
Its bloody charlton I feel sorry for!
