Watching United last night I couldn't help laughing.

I could imagine a foreigner, or someone who didn't watch a lot of footy, tuning in last night and asking the question:

"Who are these people discussing the action?"

You could retort; "Alan Shearer, Ian Wright, and Alan Hanson - all footballing legends for club and country..."

"And who is that woman who looks totally out of her depth, as if she is the wife of one of a bunch of mates discussing the match down the pub whilst the husband wished she would just piss off, leave them alone and stop being so clingy?"

That's er... Gaby Logan.

Or you could say , A Geordie, a complete total and utter wanker and a Scottish bloke and a not bad looking bird discussing football, albeit without much depth.

I would!

And her father was one of the game's great servants! He took Wales to within a missed penalty of the world cup!

Sorry, don't care who her dad is, or that she's 'fairly knowledgeable' - there's a time and place; seeing that grinning bint trying to contribute to discussion is cringeworthy.

If the Beeb really want an 'attractive' woman involved in proceedings they should at least go all out and get a f****n pole dancer on that coffee table.

If something's worth doing it's worth doing properly.
