Wolves for the playoffs?
Discussion
4 points off the top, 5 wins on the trot - could be our year!
Considering how we started the season, to finish anywhere near where we are now, never mind promotion, would be one hell of a result. We've been very lucky in that some of the young lads we had no choice but to use have been real finds. Some of them are getting better with every game. Which is all good, since we're well overdue for a bit of luck.
I wonder if this is why the sale of the club has become such a protracted affair - promotion has become a possibilty, and Moxey smells some extra cash.

I was expecting a mid-table season of rebuilding. I can't quite believe that we have gone from buying overpriced, clapped-out 34 year olds to getting hungry young players who actually want to play for us.
So, who's going to go up and down then? I reckon:
Down
Charlton
West Ham
Watford
Although if anyone gets out of it (unlikely imo) I suspect it will be Charlton with Wigan to drop
Up (heart)
Wolves
Derby
West Brom
Up (head)
Derby
West Brom
Southampton (play-offs)
I don't think that we are good enough at the moment to go up, although we have 11 games to prove me wrong - if this run carries on I may reconsider. I think we may run away with it next season if we stay down this year, McCarthy has done an outstanding job so far.
No one fancies Cardiff for promotion then??
Great win against Preston last week, revenge for them beating us earlier in the season. After we lost to west brom a week ago, i felt the Preston game was even more important. We've also got Birmingham next! But i fancy us to get a result there too...
We lead the table earlier in the season and i think that 13 game winless run has really cost an automatic promotion spot. Back on track now and i'm sure the other teams around us will also play each other in games to come. Its very tight up there and i think come the play offs, its possible for any of the 4 to win the last spot.
Makes for a very interesting end to the season!

I wouldn't count you out but imo it is all about teams that are coming into form at the moment, it seems to me like you peaked too early and will struggle now.

I think we could go up, but I'm doubtful that we could stay up. But a year in the Premiership would bring some much-needed cash into the club. It might also attract a buyer with a bit more money to spend on developing the club. Today was the first time people at work have asked me about the Wolves without laughing! Shame, I always enjoy shutting up the Man U fans by reminding them of our only season in the Prem...
I was surprised at Cardiff's recent performance, I expected them to top the table at the start of the season(especially considering the pounding they gave us). I think it's like wolves_wanderer says, we have found some momentum at the right time of the season.

I agree but the club is very different since 03/04 the squad is a lot younger and with a new buyer and hopefully Mick McCarthy still around who knows.
Cracking result for Wolves yesterday. Cardiff won again, as did sunderland and Preston and Southampton lost, so its all change again.
We (Cardiff) have got Southampton away on wednesday and Derby (away) on Saturday.
I think it could go anyway at the moment with everyone beating everyone etc.
