After all the gloating endured over England's plight in rebuilding over the last couple of years, and all the nonsense I have heard from the general direction of Cardiff about what a world-beating team they have assembled, can I just say shout Wales, shut your mouth!

We expect to lose, and dont moan so much when we do hehe

Wales were good against Ireland, but poor against Scotland. Likewise England were good against Scotland, but poor against Italy. Wales should have beat Scotland, but England should have Stomped Italy to there knees.
Rugby is a funny game and brings up results against the current form.

I still say the winners between Ireland and France will decide the 6 nations title.

oh come on, Wales were crap against Ireland (who were worse and still won) and shocking against Scotland.
What everyone else has to remember is that Wales have had an awful lot of top first team players out for some time now. Add that in with (in my opinion) a terrible decision to not send Stephen Jones packing and get Henson into the team,
10 Hook 12 Henson . Its tough on Wales at the moment, they are much much better than this will their full compliment of players. Not a world cup winning side or one that could dominate SH, but a mighty fine team.

I also dont think people are giving Italy nearly enough credit for the way they played. Ashton got the tactics wrong, but Italy are a decent side, especially up front. Look at the results they had agasint Argentina and Austrlia recently.

Agree, the Welsh team now are a shadow of the side that they could be when the players are back. Still Gareth Thomas, Shane Williams and maybe Henson back in the backs and you get pace which wales are a bit lacking and a bi of spite and leadership (though Thomas) that seems to be missing. I dont understand why Hook is playing at 12. He is a stand off, either play him there or not at all, he looks really exposed and bit lightweight in the centre. I guess the problem is that Stephen Jones is the main source of points at present and actually isnt the worse player in the side. His tackle on Patterson (accepting that Patterson stumbled) saved a certain try...

As for England, they played the wrong game against Italy but still won. What people forget is that the World Cup team had some really sticky games but got through them through self belief, kicking and the ability to change tack and the game if need be. The quarter final against wales comes to mind as does the semi against France when Engalnd kicked them off the pitch which was the right choice in pissy weather. This team needs to learn to do that, and they will, just not sure there is enough time this side of the WC. And the Italy side will turn over a couple of teams yet. I would guess they will boss Scotland - the scots pack is too lightweight, and Wales my get a shock. Italy also got very close to turning over Australia in the autumn, and their performance against France was just one of those days...

Game on for England against Ireland, that is going to be close. And for Wales... They just HAVE to win!
