I'd love that - standing in the Stretford End riding the human wave when a goal went in was sheer bliss.

Never been the same since.

We might even see the return of bog roll throwing too. idea

That would be the business. It's not been the same since the South Bank's last stand at Molineux.

The one time I have been to Molineux was in the early '90s, and half the stadium was emtpy because they had to close the terraces. It was still great, but it definitely felt like it could be better.

As long as the terraces are well-built and the numbers controlled properly, I don't see the problem.

After standing in the Kop at Liverpool for years with all the shoving, people p***ing down your leg etc, am now very happy sitting down. Although I am an old fart, I do miss the atmosphere and humour which is now lost.

Me and my mate did this at Old Trafford on the last game with the old Stretford End. Apart from a couple of stewards, we were the last two left standing. thumbup

Tip: Never leave pockets unzipped in a terrace.

Only time I've been uncomfortable standing was when *far too many* people have managed to sneak over the wall.

They've not pledged to re-introduce standing areas, they've just said that they'd review the ban. The conclusion of such a review could quite easily be that the ban should remain.

Thing is, everyone seems to stand anyway behind the goals anyway and as soon as any team get over the half-way line, everyone in the touchline stands seems to stand up as one ... rolleyes

Stood on a terrace for a good few years (lower league) and when they put a dirty great stand up it ruined the atmosphere ... plus the linesman (sorry, referee's assistant) couldn't hear you ... angel

Substitute Stretford End for United Road Paddock and we're in total agreement.

Ah....the glory days.....shite team but great atmosphere.

Being too young to go in English terraces, I've only ever been once, In the BVB Arena Dortmund, right in the hardcore fans section behind the goal, cheap tickets, absolutely amazing atmosphere, love to see it in England, was a bit wierd hearing 75,000 German men singing you'll never walk alone though. confused

I love terraces, i've been to countless matches standing on terracing in lower league football, but i can count on two hands the number of matches been to where we've been in seats, and i can safely say at each of those games we've remained standing for at least 90% of the game.

Might as well watch it on tv than sit in a stand, the best atmospheres are in terracing by far.

Yes, much to the annoyance of many a fan (self-included) who would love to see a return to terraces but fair play to the united fans for managing to stick together in great enough numbers when they do it.
