Might have been a bit rich posting this in the 'Sports' section considering it isn't about Mick McManus and Giant Haystacks but American WWE wrestling, so I'll try it in here.

Anyway, has anyone ever been when they've come over here with their Smackdown and Raw tours? I notice they're visiting Cardiff, London and Birmingham in mid April and quite fancy taking my lad along (he's eight and loves it) to one of the shows. So is it worth the £30-odd per ticket?

I've worked behind the scenes, and it was very entertaining. Its all a massive set-up, the behind the scenes fighting, everything, but all the kids I saw there were loving it.

Good quality family entertainment if you don't mind seeing people get whacked with ladders

I've never been but quite like watching it as a soap operah but if my parents had taken me when I was 8 I would have kept my room tidy and eaten all my greens without fail! The recent tours of britain seem to be of a much higher standard than they used as well, during the last tour there were some title changes and most of the big stars. If its televised the tv show lasts 2 hours but theres usually a fair bit of stuff that goes on before the shows too. Some background reading http://rajah.com/base/index.php I am going to delete this post sharpish incase somebody notices it! paperbag

I used to be a real fan WWF about 5-6 years ago and saw it live over here a few times, The shows are great but the titles never change hands over here the results are usually predictable.

But they do put on good shows with pyros big screens

ahh yes! love watching a bit of Raw and Smackdown action on sky one on a sunday morning! i've been an on/off fan for years. its great entertainment and i'm sure it'd be fantastic to see one of these shows live!
a mate went to see Rebellion at Earls court a couple of years ago and saw The Rock and Triple H fight in a steel cage for the title, apparently the atmosphere was absolutely electric!
i believe the world tag team titles changed hands when Raw was over here last time to team rated RKO. i hope they get a good kicking when they fight DX at new years revolution in the states tonight!

Aye, not long ago either...

remember seeing his brother wrestle at Castle Leisure Centre, Bury, around the same time (early 90s)

I grew up watching world of sport - Big Daddy, Haystacks, Kendo Nagasaki, et al. .....

It was just as fixed, just not as glitzy, you still had your good/bad guys, and the biddys whacking them with their sticks!!

My Dad was well into wrestling, and used to get really into it. I lost count of the dinners that eneded up splattered across the fireplace!!!

those were the days!!!
