Cracking game, and fair result in the end. As LFC supporter wanted Chelsea to win to keep Manc b******s down, and Arsenal behind us, but for playing best football wanted Arsenal to win. Drogba still falling all over the place, Lampard vastly overated and Shev a waste of £30m. Why doesn't Mourinho play Robben from the start, he caused all sorts of problems.

As a virtual neutral I was disgusted by the Chelsea players conduct to the officials.

WHEN will one of these refs tell the captains before the game that he WILL book and if required send off players who shout in his face or question his decisions.

That'd shut the bullying wankers up.

Instead of slating the Manc B******s, you could do with concentrating on and putting more support towards your own team. You never know, it might contribute to them not being as shit as they currently are.

No offence eh? eh? eh?

Supported them for 40 odd years, and once we have a level playiing field, ie money, then watch us win league titles again. Nobody can compete with Chelsea's huge squad and Mancs have the 76k seater staduium pulling in the money. At the moment £10m is a lot for Rafa to have to spend, Mancs can blow £18m on effin Carrick.

Blimey, how did Arsenal manage to win it with their puny resources a few years back then? Hmmm.......

FYI Chelsea dont have a HUGE squad, in fact the squad is of a perfectly average size for a premiership team. Check the facts.

Great game, especially the last 20 minutes - how we didn't win is beyond me considering 3xwoodwork and much more threatening in attack. Essiens goal was bl00dy marvellous, a rival to Matt Taylors fabulous effort yesterday. The less said about the goalkeeping for Flamini's shot the better - it would have been saved by either of the two regular keepers without a doubt.

1) Have a brilliant scouting system and a brilliant manager. Struggling now because of new ground costs.

2) Might be of average size, but no other team in Europe can afford to have the players they have on the bench.

When our Sheik signs up then Rafa can compete. Rafa stated yesterday that it will be the difference between scouting the world for cheaper players, and being able to get the best.
End of the day I really think should go back to 3 foreigners in our teams and rest from a youth policy or other British teams, but will never happen, so money rules. Nowt against Jose I think he's great, anyone who can wind Ferguson up is A OK.

Liverpool have spent vast sums of money over the past 10 years on a load of crap. You honestly can't say that Liverpool have no had the money to challenge. How much have Arsenal spent for gods sake?

Liverpool need to sack their scouts for the shower of shit they have brought in over the years.

Not sure how you could be disgusted by it, happens in every game now. Over paid children throwing their touys out of their prams.

Uefa have actually been attending rugby games looking at the way the players treat the ref. Soon it will be only the captain can talk to the ref and anyone else being stupid will get a card and be marched back 10 yards for a feee kick.

Ime starting to go off Drogba after seeing his childish display yesterday, why cant the bloke just stick to playing football instead of letting himself get caught up in playground style situations.
Watching some of that stuff yesterday i now know why i am now enjoying nonleague football.

Watched two cracking games yesterday. The PL game was execellent, but for sheer honesty, graft and determination I preferred my U11 side's 5-4 victory in our League Cup tie.

I agree. Although a lifelong Chelski supporter, my main sport is rugby. Saturday I played for my team in a Cup competition. The ref was a 40something yr old woman, stood 5foot nothing in her studs and not one player stepped out of line (much ). Its called respect. Something these football players (professional and amatuer alike) seem to know nothing about.

I don't know what games you're watching, but I see at least two extended highlights games a week plus the MOTD coverage and ref bullying had almost stopped compared to the heady 'Man United' days of Keano!! I was VERY surprised that Chelsea seem to be going down that road again. (Albeit not as bad as the previously mentioned United team)

In agreeance. yes

I think maybe Chelsea are feeling a pressure that they've not felt in the last 2-3 years. i.e: chasing the leaders instead of the other way round.

It must play on their minds, naturally.

I am a Chelsea fan but feel ashamed of the diving and ref-surronding that goes on (however, we certianly are most certainly not the only team to do this)

We should've won, but still, what a game. Essiens goal was just incredible, goal of the season by far
