How we contrived to lose this one I dont know. Wtf Gojo thought he was doing for the KP overthrow I dont know. Another bloody batting collapse after I thought we had put the demons of Warne out of the sodding mind! I watched the first hr this morning, couldnt sodding believe it.

No team in history has lost after declaring on a higher total than England's 551-6 batting first in a Test.

That statemtn sums it up really.

Shane Warne was awesome.

Hang on. In 2005 we lost the first test and everyone said we'd had it, death of cricket etc. We won the second, but drew the third, so we needed to win at least one to win thes eries.

We did.

I know a lor of you like to moan about everything, but give them time!

Not so much the loss that is the problem - I'm used to seeing us lose. It's the manner in which it occurred that has p*ssed me off...

Only once in the entire history of the ashes has anyone come back from being 2-0 down.

GIVE THEM TIME yikes

This shower of sh1t threw away the best start we could have wished for. They all earn loads of money for playing cricket, and they can't even do that to anything other than schoolboy standard.

I reckon they all went off and got beered up after the first few days.

A bunch of utter tw@ts. They should all be brought home in disgrace.

Nobody has ever made as many runs in the first innings and declared and lost. Ever.

Thats nobody. Ever. Until this lot.

Crass doesn't begin to describe it.

Ordinarily, I'd take the piss and gloat - but the manner in which your boys contrived to lose (72 runs in 54 overs!) is so sad that I can't bring myself to lord over you guys. I hope the next test is as good to watch though.

I cannot comprehend how they can bash Warne all over the round in the first innings and then turn inot jellies in front of him in the second innings.

Tells you something about the two teams' mental strength. Aussies arse up the first innings, say "we can do much better than that" and come out fighting. The English ... well, let's not go there.

no bigger whingers than Australians. You only have to compare the Aussie press headlines after the first test to the ones being printed on day 2 and 3 on this test.

I was in Aus for the rugby world cup in 2003, the Aussies were so pathetic and whinged so bloody much that the Sydney Morning Herald printed a full page apology to the England rugby team and its fans. I have it framed on my wall.

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory (or at LEAST a draw!). Unbelievable - what a bunch of chokers. Simply depressing....

I am disgusted at the performance, typical approach "try no to to lose" rather than win. Should have played Panesaar, not Giles, left Strauss as Captain (he had momentum) and why they can't figure Warne out is beyond me. We don't deserve to be out there with that sort of performance, I am ashamed......
