I think he'll be a great asset for an important part of the season.

Couldn't agree more Lazy,

A great finisher in his pomp and certain to play an important part in our championship winning season.

Will be a good stopgap and see us through sufficiently until we can buy a new striker in the close season - Torres perhaps?

eh?

winter cover for our softies (saha, ronaldo etc....)???

an interesting one

Utd are a bit short up front at the moment what with Alan Smith still struggling for fitness and Ollie injured again. reckon this is a good move for Utd ... this guy is pure class.

his passing ability and link up play is superb.

Certainly much better than this shower o'shite.

Maybe he's looking for divine inspiration?

Strange one as Anelka really did has got/did have the physical attributes to be a legend of a striker - if only he had had it up here (touches head) and didn't have those stupid brothers ... he could have been in the position that Henry is in now at Arsenal - a God.

I remember seeing Collymore when he was at Forest the season they went up from the old League 1, the really old Div 2, and he really was a class apart orm anythign on the field - mind you orest were playing PBoro on the day and Posh were already relegated. It was Forest's last game or so of the season and I remember they took over half the ground and started climbing the floodligh pylons (fans, not the players) and a POSH official tried to talk them down with a megaphone from the centre circle. Quaint!

HE was another one who could still be playing at the top level - had the fitness, had the talent - didn't have it in his head.

You know what Lazy, I hope you're right but I have this feeling he's just not going to cut it at OT. We've seen it so many times before with young players showing early promise but not quite making the grade. I hope I'm wrong for his sake but I just don'y know.

Have faith on this one!

Just needs his opportunity and you'll see.

Oh I have faith all right - Man U is one of my religions after all (can you guess what the other is?).

Seriously, I really do hope that he does well, after all it's not unusual for a loaned out player to do the business back at OT - a certain D. Beckham didn't do too badly.

I've just read on another thread that Larsson is getting £125K a week at OT, surely that's B.S. and we're paying him the wages he's got on his current deal?

Having seen a bit of the match yesterday I honestly if there is a class p[layer capable of extending Utd#s good performances his season right to the end (if he stays) and winnnig the title - it is Larsson. Fergie will have no trouble with him.

I know it's a presumption but can you honestly not see this happening?!?

He's gonna end up being another legend for United, in a similar way to Teddy and Eric.

Exciting times !

Watched the game yesterday and he was a class above most of the players on show. If he stays for the rest of the season then I think the title may be Old Trafford bound.

i was a bit cocncerned when we got larsson..but he played really well against villa who have been a tough team to play against all season so the signs look good

still reckon Rory Patterson would do the job
