This fight is expected to take place in Cardiff on March 3. Manfredo was the runner up in the first series of The Contender, and reckons he can take Calzaghe down.
I reckon that although the American is a good boxer, Calzaghe will wipe the floor with him, especially in Wales.
Thoughts? Should be a good spectacle whatever happens.

I suppose this is a good foot into the Americans front-room. The 1st series of The Contender was massive with some good bouts but they were all mediocre fighters. Beating up Manfredo will be like riding a bike for Calzaghe and I can't see this going past the 4th round.

Can't see this leading to a Tarver bout either, reckon a Lacy rematch for the IBF belt he's just given up is more likely.

I hope Calzaghe batters him. I also hope his achivement of being the World Champ for 10 years will also be recognised at the Sports personality of the Year etc this time around. His another Foggy as far as recognition is concerned.

I've just got doubts about Calzaghe actually having the ability to step up and work for his legacy of being a 10 year champion. He's been a champ but between Eubank and Lacy what has he done to deserve it? I suffered many an undercard with him fighting for 12 rounds and doing nothing. Where's the unifications? Where's the big fights? Where's the American names? Answer - Frank Warren hasn't the ability to deliver.

Lennox Lewis I followed to America 4 times to watch fight the best fighter at the time, Joe expects them to come to him. Erm, sorry Joe.

It's a joke right? The guy is ranked something like 7th. Hate to say it but I think it's going to be a turn off.

Calzaghe is a class fighter but his last performance was nothing more than mediocre ... after his Lacy performance had been breathtaking. And Lacey can only fight one way and Calzaghe would beat him again easily so if there was a rematch, Joe should fight Lacey in his home town ...

He should have maybe moved to the states ala Steve Wotsit the Oirish guy from a few years back ... but then again I don't think he had the belief to. Why is he undefeated? Cos he's never met the other really good fighters at his weight, that's why ...
