BBC Five Live this am "England Thrashed"

Chances of retaining the Ashes, minimal in my view banghead

1. No one fit enough and taking re-hab junkies, who have not played for months like Giles & Vaughan is stupid.
2. Wrong Captain, let Freddy play and let Strauss lead - he has already shown he is good at it.
3. Busted Bowlers - you name the Ashes winners - half are not going
4. Fletcher looks knackered and out of ideas - and I don't usually agree with our Geoffrey abot anything
5. Psychologically already on the back foot, and the Aussies look ominously prepared
6. Jones is a Twunt, they must play Read
7.Etc.

Any other views?
Any pathologically optimistic Cricket fans out there?

Well I have tickets for the 5th Test and on this showing there won't be much point attending...

I'm seriously hoping things improve in time for the 1st Test, I so want this series to be competitive.

It's going to be tough but it is against the best team in the whole in their back yard-it should be that's why it's call a test. But there are plently of reasons to be optimistic.

Their bowling liine up is weaker than last time with the best being even older and the rest being more inexperienced.
Our batting line up looks stronger than the last Ashes. Cook is a great find, Bell is a much more complete player and Collingwood just gets better. And we have to leave one of them out-nice position to be in.
We have a much better spinning option now-as long as they pick him of course!
Austrailia (esp Pointing) are under hugh pressure to win on home soil.
Our coach is much better than theirs-just ask Warney!
The injured players will be fresh now.

My real worry is that we don't have Simon Jones. He was a star last time and Mammoud and Anderson just don't look as good. The key to success last time was they could never relax against any of our bowlers. Harrison should come good and whoever thinks Freddie won't step up in the big game is mad.

So I reckon a 5-0 win is on the cards.
