What an absolutely stunning spectacle of rugby! Ended 29 all, but was a festival of running rugby from both sides. It was an unmitigated disaster for Wales in the first 30 minutes going 17-6 down with virtually no possesion or territory and seeing captain and fly half Stephen Jones go off injured early in the game. But Wales fought back from a 17-6 deficit to lead 26-17 midway through the second half, with some fantastic rugby bringing it to 29-29 at the final whistle.

Special mentions to Chris Latham and James Hook, the former scoring a solo try from the top drawer and having an all round excellent game and the latter having a flawless game coming fresh from the under-21's to replace Stephen Jones at fly half. Martyn Williams, Matt Giteau and Stephen Larkham were also in great form in a stunning spectacle to launch the autumn series.

I'm breathless and more than a little pished drunk after watching that. Let's hope tomorrows game between England and New Zealand is even half as good!

I thought it was a fine display of cynicism and professional fouling by the Aussies.

A great game marred by some of their antics.
