That is the worst I have seen them play for a while, and this season they have been crap a few times. Nobody, apart from Sissoko, seemed up for it. Gerrard just strolling about. Think Rafa needs to find a consistent team and stick with it. Again no Fowler even on the bench. We are going backwards from last season.

Completely agree, it was embarrasing. Can't understand about God either he would have at least shown a bit of passion and unlike Luis bl00dy Garcia he may have completed a pass!!! In fact, we couldn't pass at all, we looked lethargic (even Stevie G looked fed up and not up for the fight) and we were exposed by a Manure team who weren't really trying that hard it seemed.
Stop changing the bl00dy team round Rafa - lets get some consistancy - if you want to experiment do it with the reserves at Melwood and not in important matches in the Premiership.
No chance of anything near a title this year methinks and we'll be lucky if we go anywhere in any other compo as well.
God they frustrate the sh1t out of me!!!

Do you think we have too many good players now and he's spoilt for choice?
I'd like to think that is true but where is the evidence of it!!!
It's all well and good bringing in some really talented individuals but if they cannot gel as a team then they will just become another England The players need to have time to build up an understanding and gel together - not keep on being played with different players each game - I'll say again, the place for experimentation with team selection is at Melwood, not the league.
Let's hope that Rafa's assertion that the end of interruptions of internationals and the like will mean that the team can be just that again.

We've got too many Johnny Forreigners who don't like it up 'em more like.
A lot of them seem far too lightweight - Pennant, Garcia, Gonzalez, Aurellio, Finnan - all skillful, good players no doubt, but none are world class, and none seem up for it. There's no impetus in the wing-play unless Gerrard is stuck out there (or sometimes Riise from left-back), but that's surely to the detriment of centre midfield.
At least Alonso has a bit of steel to back up the ability (although he's in a poor run of form at the moment).
Sissoko? Has the combative ball winning qualities we need, but he's still inexperienced (poor distribution, runs down blind alleys, loses his composure when things get fraught)...
Carragher's injury two minutes before the second goal didn't help, but overall 'Pool were poor.
I'll stop typing before I get too angry.
