That's very sad news indeed. Always seemed like a really genuine guy, and there was me thinking he was on the mend... cry

It's always tragic when someone dies so young but someone who was gifted with so much talent and worked so hard to achieve his ambitions makes his death a little harder to take in.

Condolences to all his family, friends and fans.

I feel gutted. The lad was local to me and tried so hard even when he must have realised his chances were so slim. RIP a man who would not give up.

RIP Paul. A sad loss to snooker - he was a character and seemed to be very well liked by the other players.

RIP Paul and best wishes to his family. He only lived round the corner from my parents and I regularly saw him out in his BMWs around the area. I really hoped he would be back in the game regularly very soon and I am finding it hard to believe he has gone!

A little late with this, but not been on for days.
I was gutted when I found out on Tues night. Totally genuine guy with more bottle than most people in the game. (He won 3 Masters events which for those not that into snooker is the 2nd most prestigeous tournament to win).
I saw him do an exhibition just before he got ill and he was a class act and real genuine lad, had a crack on and had a smile on his face throughout. Along with Ronnie & Jimmy White, one of the only players in the game I can honestly say I really enjoyed watching.

My heart goes out to his wife and baby daughter Evie,

The tributes by the players and the pictures at the end of the pgm on Sky Sports Premier League on Thurs night were very moving.

It's easy to say good things about people when they are gone, but no one seemed to have a bad word against him.
