Finally get to go to my first England game v Macedonia tomorrow!
Looking forward to going to only my second ever match that didn't feature the mighty North End laugh

I'm sorry it was such a poor match.

Another classic(ly appaling) performance from Peter Crouch, there...rolleyes

Biggest disappointment for me was Gerrard...

Yeah, I agree, Gerrard was poor.

My first team would have Aaron Lennon on the right, Joe Cole on the left, Gerrard, Lampard and Hargreaves/Carrick in the middle, and Rooney/Owen up front on their own (depending on suspensions/injuries).

And Crouch nowhere near the city.

Joe Cole...

No player in the England squad can have the ball for SO much of the game and yet ACTUALLY PRODUCE so little. Even the great WC Goal came from a clearance straight to him and wasn't a product of one of his ball-hogging runs.....

Recall for Beckham, should improve the quality of the set pieces.

Bad stuff about Joe Cole.
In fact a midfield of Lennon, Gerrard, Hargreaves and SW-P wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. I'd also be happy with Nev, King, Terry, Cole at the back in front of Robbo. Just a matter of who to partner Rooney with...... (because unfortunately Crouch was just poor last night)?
