I agree with Jamie Redknapp who said at half time " if assistant referees are going to consistently get decisions wrong then they should go back to being linesmen"
Unacceptable judgement today Bolton V LFC.
Free kick just outside of Reina's area because Mr Halliday said ball was handled outside of area even tho he was 5 yards further up and Reina let go of ball about 2 feet inside of area but kicked outside due to the pace of the game.
And then we were punished, fair play to BW.
Mr Halliday I think you need to take a VERY LONG HOLIDAY... mad

Anyone similar thoughts...

PS:This isnt a rant or excuse to slag off individual teams or players but your view on supposedly ass refs...

Well we had a dire decision against newcastle, with an utterly obvious offside, but a goal was given. Hopefully the refs organization will take appropriate action.

Did anyone see Hull City v Sheff Wed the other week?

Just 3 minutes into the match, Wednesday were awarded a penalty for handball against Danny Mills, but it was actually Deon Burton who handled so it should have been a free-kick to Hull. Deon Burton (the tosser) then scored for Wednesday from the spot-kick, but fortunately we came back to win the match so it didn't cost us the points!!

The thing is, the ref was perfectly placed to see the incident and the two players in question have significantly different skin pigmentation, so how the feck did he fail to get it right?... beyond belief!!! irked

As for the Reina "handball".... it was utter tosh and the lino needs to be demoted to the conference!!

Has anyone ever noticed that when you have a tosser of a linesman and a bad referee, that the referee will make the linesmen change ends at half time.

Therefore giving your team the same linesman again...

Can anyone explain why that is good policy to me? confused

Any offence in which Danny Mills is involved should always automatically go against Danny Mills. The bloke is a feckin headcase, and similarly with that other brain dead career-ending-tackle-waiting-to-happen Lucas Neil, the sooner they are no longer involved with football the better.

You've got a point there. The same goes for Roy Keane and Robbie Savage. And Craig Bellamy should never be awarded any free kicks just for being a maoning shit.

You have to wonder how the ref and lino got conned into giving that penalty for Spurs yesterday...

Especially at White Hart Lane, where you've got massive video replay screens at both ends that would have shown how much of a cheating git Zakora was almost instantly. Fair play that he held his hands up but still. Hope the FA are able to ban the fecker.

(I am not a Pompey fan, for the record - just hate this type of cheating.)

dodgy pen

A quality dive, apparently "off balance" (Martin Jol)...

...still not up there with Robben's shot by a sniper routine against Liverpool (loved Rafa's post match interview - "sorry, I have to cut this short to go and visit Robben in hospital" )

You boys want to start watching some grass roots football not this premiership rubbish if you want to see some poor linsemen / assistant Refs.

They are that poor now that the fans can actually influence decisions. Or in my eyes we can. Very very poor. The refs aren't much better either.
