I'm afraid this will be all too easy for Man-U. I really do hope Celtic can prove me wrong can make a game of it but this is no where near the same Celtic that O'Neil took to the UEFA final.

Strachan has done fine in domestic competitions and is building is own team now. I hope he can prove that he can be successful in Europe following the embarrassment last year.

So, it turned out not easy in the end. Having said that, I think it ended up being a relatively comfortable 3-2 win, if there is such a thing.

The more I watch Saha, the more I think he's a superb player.

I absolutely HATED Andrew Cole.

Firstly he 'replaced' Sparky.

Then he wasn't muscular or pacy.

And on top of that he was profligate with the ball.

I can forgive Saha for shooting like a porn star for the speed and obvious effort.

I like the team as it stands. Cavalier and swashbuckle to spare with a kernel of toughness.

On the downside Fletcher is still on the books rolleyes

Beat me to it, Mark !

So, in anticipation of this massive clash (and it IS massive), I shall be buying a few cans and settling in front of the TV tonight for what I expect to be a blood and guts game in the land of the Scot.

One of those fixtures that you look forward to in a season.

Bring it on....

Indeed, how celtic only managed to win 1-0 is a mystery hehe

Was a cracking free kick though and Saha had a nightmare game.

It's just you.

Brilliant free kick to win them the game, but they got bloody lucky.

Ah well, a point will do it against Benfica.

If you think Rooney is overated, I'll bet you don't really know alot about football do you ?

Brilliant goal won the game. Was looking more and more likely the longer the game went on. We should have won that game but the last part (i.e the scoring bit) wasn't working. A poor game for Saha who I rate as one of our best players.

Apart from that, I don't think United have much to complain about to be fair. They should have won.

Its about time Ronaldo stopped ing about until we're at least 3 up. If he looks the other way one more time when he passes a simple ball, I'll have to conclude that his eyesight is actually shite or that there's somebody in the crowd shouting his name. He really is a tt sometimes.

Riveting game, though not especially pretty. And for all MU 1st half possession,Boruc was hardly tested.Shocking tackle on Scholes. Some serious tactical errors by GS in the 1st half.

The change of shape and subs for Celtic in the 2nd half started making sense in the last 1/4.Blinding free kick, and Saha should never have taken that penalty.
Great to see the Bhoys through, and I'll be very surprised if MU dont follow.

C'mon the Hoops!

Yyyeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!

Top of the group... for a couple of weeks at least. So much for Munure although I do hope they beat Chelski at the weekend. Nakamura's free kick was fantastic and Mu should have expected it as it was exactly the same as the last time.
Please tell me it wasn't just my telly going on the blink but Saha is really pish isn't he??
Oh well, possesion isn't everything and Wee GS had his tactics right on the night (as he did last time if it wasn't for a dodgy Giggs penalty claim). Fantastic

I hate Man Utd but I'm disgusted by the free kick award that Celtic scored from. Cheating IMO is ruining the game. The biggest club cup competition in the world and a team who gets pissed on all game score, admittedly a brilliant free-kick, from a shocking decision and some blatant cheating by Jarosik.

I think it should be like RL. There should be a post match panel who can now ban Jarosik for 3 games for cheating.

I didn't actually see what got the free kick as I was making my way to the bar but maybe he was still a bit pi55ed at being elbowed in the face and getting nothing for it (although I don't hear Alex Ferg complaining about it and he's usually the first). It maybe evens up the light free kick at the other end which led to the penalty or, like I said, the Giggs penalty in the last game. If MU fans want to complain about any thoughts of cheating then they should get their own house in order first, they have one of the world champs in the diving olympics who surprisingly managed to keep fairly quiet in that respect apart from sticking his hand up for a penalty on a fair tackle. Would you be saying the same if that had been awarded?
