England v Andorra
Gary Lineker presents live coverage from Old Trafford as new England manager Steve McLaren faces his first meaningful test as the qualification process begins for Euro 2008. His predecessor, Sven Goran-Eriksson, never failed to reach the finals of a major tournament and McLaren will be hoping to continue this record, starting out against Andorra, a side which has registered just three victories during less than a decade in existence. Kick-off is at 5.00pm. [S]

4-0 Andy Johnson Hatrick :P
Hargreaves was good. Lampard was quiet. Defoe was good. Gerrard was good. No-one played sinfully poorly. Gerrard scored a great goal, and I can't be arsed to post my views again, cos I've just written them on the BBC messageboard.
Lennon is a legend.
Crouch was crap. He always is. His goals were ok, but other than that, he was poor. Richardson did nothing. He shouldn't get near the team. AJ did alright, but I still don't rate him very highly.

Lets face it, with Rooney Owen and Crouch all available Defoe, Bent and Johnson would all be fighting for one place on the bench. I agree on current PRem form, Johnson deserves his chance, even if he did used to play for Birmingham City...
Perhaps they can be judged after wednesday, which should be an altogether bigger test.
