I've got plenty time for him too - even though he always scores against us blues (before you say it: doesn't everybody). Why we didn't take an old fashioned English striker to the WC instead of two injured faves and 12 year old I don't know.

Anyone rather than crouch... ashton, Johnson, Harewood, Defoe etc should all get the nod ahead of El Donkey...

That's great news! Go on Deano!!!

I was at the Cambridge v West Ham match last week, and he came up and stretched his calf, leaning on the barrier RIGHT NEXT TO ME!! He even smiled at me! Oh yeah!

Go on, lad!

"Striker Dean Ashton is out of England's friendly against Greece at Old Trafford on Wednesday after breaking an ankle during training."

Bloody typical.

Again, this brings up the subject of what compensation should the contract owning, and wage playing club recieve? The FA all too often use the assets of a 'private company' for their own ends, and often return those assets broken. I think the league are looking at having the FA pay players wages should they become injured while on international duty, but I honestly can't see the FA coughing up a single penny.

To my eternal shame, it was pink. I couldn't find mine in time so I had to borrow one from TimW.
