And take MaClaren with you. Why was Rooney playing up front on his own, Crouch comes on and holds the ball up, just what Rooney wants. Beckham and Lampard have been awful the whole tournament. I don't blame the players but the terrible tactics? of Ericcson. With the squad he had we should have easily got to the semis. So good riddance Sven and that soddin FA should all resign as well. Rant over. Roll on the new season and watch Rafa win the league.

The current England squad don't deserve to be the losing side in games like these... Sven has less charisma than a dead sloth. You can't expect a team to win when they're told 'not to lose'...

POOR.

We are out due to one decision.

Theo Walcott

If he had picked any of the journeyman english strikers (Defoe/Bent/Beattie etc) in the premiership we would have had a striking pair that could have done us proud and allowed Rooney not to be played out of position and on his own - the worst possible scenario.

I'm also not a fan of Lamps and Gerrard together...esp since Lampard never got a decent shot off in the tourney.

On the plus side I can now see why he took Hargreaves. He's never going to be a star but he was relentless. I can forgive a lot for relentless

It's interesting what you say about Hargreaves. I could not stand the player before but I have to hand it to him for his sheere detrmination and grit. And Lampard.... what a total waste of space!!

I have to agree about Hargreaves.....

Relentless

Well said....

I didn't think much of him before the tournament - now I have modifyed my opinion...

We [Sven] painted ourselves into a corner by not taking the right players...we only yook one match fit striker in Crouch - who cannot play a lone role, we also took Walcott for a little holiday.....totally pointless, very very poor decisions made by Sven.

As for Becks, well he is still a very important player for us - now he has relinquished the captains armband who should have it ?

My vote would be for John Terry...
