So no motive other than losing?! Disgraceful. Those involved should be fined by FIFA. That's totally unacceptable in a sport that's meant to "bring nations together", and provide role models for younger kids.

Total idiots....

As far as I could see from the flaky camerawork, it was based around Heinze and a handful of others, many Argentinians were trying to stop the fight, Maxi was sat by himself on the pitch looking glum.

Don't know if you get the same feed through as we do here in the States, but from the replays they showed it looked like a couple of players had something to say to each other and then Bierhoff in the black suit, black shirt and black tie said something to Heinze and it kicked off - people pushing etc. I did see one Argie come from the back of the group and try to jump over the top and land a punch, but it didn't hit.

All a bit handbags and naturally totally hilarious!

Almost as hilarious as the Germans synchronised skipping on their lap of honour and then lining up in a row and one player motioning to bowl a ten pin bowling ball at the line, cue the rest of the krauts toppling over. My sides. How very, erm, German.

David Hasselhoff anyone?

Agreed on silly skipping, but no need for nazi comparisons, thats soooo 1940's.

Edited: forgot to add smilie , its not a dig at you, just that there may be some sober and sensitive Germans reading who object.

And you're flying off the handle on very shaky evidence. A great example to everyone this jumping to conclusions and spouting off. If this wasn't pistonheads and the home to outrageous comments without foundation I might tell you to off and come back when you have something solid to whinge about.

But I won't

Hence, there may be 'some' , i.e toddlers and alsatians.

Just seen the footage again, I take back what I said about most of the Argentians trying to stop the ruck, seems like they all had a pop at the Germans.

'Kraut' is short for sauerkraut, simply slang for German.

However, I agree entirely about the tantrumic duumy-throwing spic b*stards!

I saw punches, and a bunch of idiots causing mayhem. I'm not blind since everyone else (10 of us here), saw the same and we all thought the same.

I'm just stated what I saw. So i'm going to tell you to fk off for make such a comment against me. I'm entitled to my view without numpties like yourself making comments as above.

Edited because I've heard that word before, but I can't find a definition anywhere. So I changed it!

I think it's fine and I was just giving my opinion. It's a shame some people react so badly to critisism. I just don't like to be told to f*** off, directly or in this case, indirectly.

Maybe planetdave is Argentinian or related in some way and he's a bad loser too?
