Does anyone know what the rules are regarding golden/silver goals? After having a word with Cliff last night, we`re not quite sure about this, as it may cause confusion with match "predictions". My suggestion is we go for the score at the end of "open play". Be that 90 mins or whatever. Therefore it`s still possible to predict games ending in a draw. Hope that makes sense? What do we all think?

Good idea Mark,i think that weve been predicting all the games based on 90 mins so maybe stick with 90 mins through the knock out stages.
Still open to suggestions though.

I've just had a quick scan through the tournament rules and it only seems to mention extra time (the usual 2 x 15 minutes) then penalties.

Golden goals etc don't seem to be a feature this time around

OK, thanks for that Geoff. On the basis of that i think we should go for the final score in open play, be it 90 mins or 90 plus 15/15, disregarding penalty shootouts. How does that sound?

Is it not usual for bookmakers to take the score at the end of 90 minutes?!

Golden goals are history. Back to the usual penalty shoot outs now.
